Description

A direct hit again and again.

The latest evolution of the Rome Targa Binding features the two-piece Anti-Shock highback and Comformgrip toe straps to make this all-mountain freestyle binding even more noteworthy for any rider looking for both freestyle flex and support. The Targa first made its name with its super-customizable design with features like swappable canted footbeds, adjustable flex in the ankle strap, and fuss-free fore and aft toe and heel ramps. And from the looks of things, that name will continue to stand out.

  • Anti-Shock highback uses a two-piece design along with a skateboard truck-like elastic bushing to dampen chatter and encourage a natural flex
  • Yes, I Cant customizable canting system supplies you with 3 swappable canted footbeds including 0, 2, and 3-degree angles
  • SubBase V-Pad fills in the lifted corners of the V-Rod baseplate with EVA for smooth side-to-side flex
  • Underwrap.3 cored heel loop delivers the lightweight response that only metal can provide—only where you need it, allowing the rest of the baseplate to flex with the rider
  • Autostrap ankle strap design adjusts the tension of the strap at the ladder to stay open when unfastened for easier access and less wear on your binding
  • PF Adjust ankle strap includes two interchangeable EVA inserts (45D and 65D) so you can choose the support (if any) that's right for you
  • Comformgrip toe strap uses a rubber 'x' design that protects, grips, and conforms to your boot with no pressure in sight
  • Adjustable toe and heel cushioned ramps extend independently for customized support and fit
  • Tool-less adjustment on the straps and highback accommodate all flex preferences and different boot shapes

What's to say other than these bindings are the shit. Heavy duty, flexible canting system.. It doesn't get any better.

These are boss

Before these I had the 390 Boss on another board and I loved them, but these take it to a whole new level with the added customization of the strap flex and the more stiff/robust feel definitely tears the whole mountain up from steep groomers to stomping landings in the terrain park!

As far as the changes go, none are major and will not change performance. As far a performance goes, they rock. Super responsive, comfy and built strong.

I had to send back the first set of the S/M because they were too narrow for my size 8 1/2 DC boot. The L/XL worked perfect I put them on my never summer raptor and could not dream of a better binding

Targas met everyone of my expectations and exceeded them.

I used to ride, Ride EX bindings on my board, my calfs used to get extremely soar after a day of riding (6 hours). Now with the "CANT" system I feel like I can ride all day long. I use the 3.5 degree inserts.

The "Cant" angle binding system is simple, but ingenious and helps with comfort and control. The Targas will give you agile and quick responses. I would strap them on to any board, for a rider that desires, quick and snappy responses. This binding is the Lamborghini or Ferrari of bindings.

Overall excellent bindings in performance, and aesthetics. I own the all white Targas and they look sweet on my gray board.

I ride my Targas on a Ride #4 board. My board is stiff snappy and all camber. I use my board as an all mountain beast.

I hope this review helps anyone who desires in my opinion the best all mountain bindings in performance, aesthetics, and comfort.

"I recently purchased the Targa by Rome SDS. Right away you can tell that these bindings were born for the mountain. If you are mostly a park rider these are probably not the binding for you considering they are a bit one the heavy side, but that is the only draw back. They give awesome support without being super stiff. Literally hundreds of mounting options make this binding super easy to customize and adjust on the fly. I used them for the first time a Jackson Hole Wy and they definitely exceeded my expectations."

Don't know if a binding will ever be "perfect," but this is the closest I've come to finding one. After 15 years or so on snow I've got to say these are the best binders I've ridden. Super response, but not too stiff. Totally bomb proof. I like the ability the binding give me to set my straps EXACTLY how I want them. These have served me well through flat landings and tight little chutes. Have used them on three different boards and they always play nicely. You should just buy a pair.

The only negative things I'd add is that I did shatter both discs after a couple of days out. But that was more of a manufacturer defect than a problem with the bindings. Put in new discs, no problems. Don't let that stop you.
