Description

Show no fear.

Know what you're doing before you hop on the Rossignol Jibsaw Magtek Snowboard and drop in. The Jibsaw is pure freestyle, but this isn't a park noodle by any means. The Jibsaw combines Rossignol's toned-down Magne-Traction 5S edges with a true mid-stiff feel for a serious park deck that takes a freestyle ripper to the next level.

  • Amptek Freestyle Rocker features camber between the feet (60%) and rocker at the tip and tail (40%) for flotation and playfulness combined with explosive pop
  • Glass fiber and Aramid construction offers a stiff, lightweight ride and bombproof durability
  • Magne-Traction 7S edges with 50% smaller bumps for a smooth ride with plenty of edge control
  • CBF2 is basalt laminated along the edges of the board for superior grip, excellent stability, and tons of pop
  • True twin shape and flex for an identical ride forward or switch
  • Sintered 4400 base is super-fast and durable

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I really love the versatility the Amptek camber offers. It floats well in the pow and really shines in the park. This thing kills rails, boxes and jumps. I haven't had a chance to take it on anything over 30 foot but it's been really forgiving with spins so far. I've never been bucked off a rail due to catching either. The 7S Magne-Traction is much less hooky feeling than the original Magne-traction. Durability wise this thing has been doing great so far. I've had a few catch ups and felt a few rocks and have been surprised to see how damage resistant it's been. The only downside to this board is that it's a bit softer than expected. When you are really bombing, it can feel a little soft transitionally. Having that said this board is not anywhere near a 7 out of a 10 stiffness. I would rate it more like a 4.5 at best. I'd call it a park/mountain board. Keep in mind I'm about 5'10" 185 lbs so it may feel prime for someone around 150-165 lbs. I feel like this board would be the perfect one quiver board if it were just a little stiffer. It feels pretty soft torsionally but it's still a completely rad board especially for the price. Oh oh almost forgot! The flatware tips give you an awesome manual surface to lock in some silly presses.

JIBSAW - shred jam

I demo'd this board for 2 days and fell in love. I am 6 ft 175 lbs and bought the 155. Its smaller than I ride but it is awesome and was worried that how soft it was I wouldn't be a good fit, but so far its done me well. Great maneuverability, Awesome Flex, great play. This is my first Magne-Traction edge board and I don't think I go back to the traditional edge. I haven't played with it in the park yet but have taken it in the POW and it rides awesome. I feel like its a very versatile board. The one thing I noticed that due to the flex there is definite chatter at high speeds. As mentioned below, I would say this is more at a 5 of 10 than 7. Stoked!

Jib the entire resort.

If your day at the mountain is a smorgasbord of types of riding, this stick is the spork. Piste to park with a side of powder please. It's a soft board between the contact points but flatware tips allow backseat stability. It kills the park!! Super buttery with a ton of pop. The mellow Magne-traction locks in on the hard days for a super stable ride. If your always chasing the deep stuff Rossi has some better boards but if you’re tromping all over your local hill there are not many boards better industry wide. You’re hard pressed to find this much tech below $500.

Extremely fun all mountain jib board

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So this is my second "camrock" rossi, my first was the j-dub, the predecessor to the jibsaw.
A bit about my set up:

153
Union forces. 24" stance. set back 1"(rode centered but set back was better for pow and float)

32 TM two

So, the board is initially much softer than the j-dub, while still being a 7 on their scale. the great thing is it still has the same support as you flex into the board making it a great jib and shred option.

The early rise tip and tail make butters and presses a piece of cake and it also keeps the tip up while smashing through fresh or chopped up pow.

The mag is pretty mellow on this deck compared to other but is still noticeable and quite effective. With the camber between your feet, magnetraction, and early rise tips most of the grip is derived from your feet and between which results in the board riding pretty short and feels like a skate board with big floaty tip and tail.

Bottom line is this thing rips all the conditions. The short running length really focuses the grip at and between your feet and not at the tip and tail so for wide open charging it may not be the best board. However it's a great every day resort board.

Haven't ridden yet, but I'm pumped to take this sucker out for a test drive. Awesome board, and spent a good amount of time trying to decide what to go with. I don't think I'll be disappointed.

Just came in, haven't ridden yet but I'm super pumped to ride it!

Toned-down magne-traction looks perfect, it has the 5 bumps, not the 7. Just a clarification of the above description.
