Rossignol Templar Magtek Snowboard - 2012

Rossignol designed the Templar Magtek to bring Magne-Traction sidecut and the Amptek profile to the rest of us. The Templar boasts all the leading technology of Rossi's higher-end models but with a slightly more forgiving ride so we can enjoy the benefits of Rossignol's outside-the-box approach to snowboard design without biting off more than we can chew board-wise.

  • Amptek All-Mountain Rocker features camber between the feet (60%) and rocker at the tip and tail (40%) for flotation and playfulness combined with pop and tons of edge control
  • Medium flex is stiff at the waist and back foot for stability and soft under the front foot for easy turn initiation
  • Glass fiber construction offers a stiff, lightweight ride and bombproof durability
  • Magne-Traction 5S edges offer unparalleled edge power and control on hardpack and ice
  • Core crafted from a single type of wood that's vertically laminated for lightweight durability
  • Sintered 4400 base is super-fast and durable

Bottom Line: It's like Festivus, only it's a snowboard.

Real fun especially if you only can have one.

I am absolutely loving on this board this year. Rossignol really did a great job in getting this board into their line up this season. It is very similar to the One Magtek but is all around more mellow. The 5 points of magnatraction vs the traditional 7 points makes for a little less aggressive bite from the edges but still gets the job done when you really dig in. Also the Templar is a little softer than some of the other "quiver killers" which has turned out to be super fun and playful. I've spent days getting after it in the park and days hiking backcountry on this board and I haven't even considered putting bindings on anything else. Highly recommend this board.

Great Board!!

I have been snowboarding about 12 times. This board gave me the most confidence out of all the boards I tried.

Magnetraction was great for East Coast

Grips like a champ.

Great board. The 5s mag is very versatile, and doesn't take much to lay down nice carves. Spin weight is good, and the board is surprisingly light. Soft tip and tale... makes butters soo easy. The only gripe I have witht this board is it is a bit slower than others I have rode. With that being said, when you get on steeps and shoots, it does very well.

4 out of 5. Great job Rossi.
