I had to talk myself into stepping out of my comfort zone not only with getting a low cut boot to try and adopt the low cut look but also in getting something other than black (I got tan). These boots are a great choice for taking chances - they are super stylee yet comfortable. Roxy footwear have always run true to size and these were no exception - wear an 8, ordered an 8 and they fit great! "Below calf" is dead on - the top comes right up to that point on me (don't get more average than me...5' 5").
So why not 5 stars? I about killed myself taking my first steps outside in the Biscayne boots...no traction what so ever! So in conclusion ladies...they may not be safe struttin across an icy walkway BUT, they are comfortable and fashionable!
