Description

Fast times.

You're looking for fast times while getting high on the hill, so you put on the Roxy Women's Ridgemont Jacket. A nylon waxed twill body with polyester two-tone dobby center piecing and hem give this snow jacket something different in the looks department. The micro polar fleece lining is super comfortable next to skin, while the mapped 3M Thinsulate insulation keeps you warm. Furthermore, finger-warmer wrist gaiters, which provide coverage for your whole hand.  You can shred in the deep stuff, because the fully taped seams won't let moisture in, and the fixed powder skirt offers even more protection. Roxy gave the Ridgemont a long, slim fit, so it's as flattering as it is warm.

For me, form follows function.

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Like jyc2851307, I also really wanted to like this jacket. I was between the Ridgemont in ivy green and the Kjersti in ivy green. Ultimately, I chose the Kjersti for a few reasons:

-I, along with many other reviews, had a hard time getting the zipper to work on this jacket. I had to toy around with it for a couple minutes each time i tried it on.

- This jacket needs more pockets! The only pockets are the three that you see on the outside. The media pocket sits at a very awkward place on the breast - having my phone inside it was uncomfortable. Also, the zipper on it is so short that i could hardly fit my small hand into the pocket.

- The material is stiff, bulky and not quite form-fitting. It is also incredibly easy to scratch. This gives it a neat vintage look at first, but i imagine increases its wear over time.

I really like the style and fit of the jacket otherwise, however, these small frustrations just weren't worth the style points for me.

How long is this jacket? Mid thigh? Or just below the butt?

depends on your height. it was an inch or two higher than mid thigh for me at 5'3". I thought it was a good length.

Defective Zipper, Snug Shoulders

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I really wanted to like this jacket except I couldn't zip it up: for some reason the metal insert would not line up correctly with the zipper part of the jacket. The shoulder fit seemed a little snug with just a shirt and fleece under the jacket, so I would recommend one size up. It felt warm even though I never got the zipper to work.

Ass Kicking Jacket!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love love love.... it is a long and slim fit, very feminine and cute... and also tough looking! I have this in red and it's also really warm! I usually need puffy jackets for the colder days but I've found this jacket to be warm enough. The only thing that sucks is my zipper is a bit fucky- I have to mess with it for a good few minutes before it finally zips up. It's not even a year old, and the zipper is already messed? I have an old Roxy puffy jacket that's probably 5 years old and the zipper is just fine on that thing. Whatever, I'll deal with the zipper, the jacket looks that good.

Cute jacket, neat material

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift, but have feedback to share

The fit of this jacket is just as described - long and slim. It looks awesome, both on and off the hill. The waxed material shows wear, but I think it adds character, similar to how when leather breaks in. Overall a solid jacket for on the hill that doesn't look bad in town.

Just ordered mine! Can't wait to get it. I bought it especially because it looks good to wear off the slopes as well as on!!!
