Where is the "out seam" measured from?

Outseam is measured along the outside of the leg, from the top of the waistband to the bottom hem.

At 19" outseam, this boardshort's hem will hang right around the top of the kneecap. For reference, a 22" boardshort is typically the longest on the market and ends at the bottom of the kneecap.
