Salomon Acid Snowboard - 2009

Looking for a soft ride through your favorite winter wonderland? Salomon melted mind-blowing technology into the Acid Snowboard that jibs and butters like nothing you’ve ever imagined.

  • Pres-sure Rockqualizer gives you pure reverse camber so you can enter a wonderful new dimension of blissful presses and spins
  • Equalizer sidecut works with the Rockqualizer shape to allow fantastic edge hold and control
  • Royal Rubber pads are integrated into the high-pressure zones of the sidewalls to dampen vibration and suck up big impacts
  • Carbon Booster construction adds a carbon stringer to your laminate for increased snap and power.

Bottom Line: No, there aren’t really little green fairies following you through the trees.

Hey guys for an intermediate boarder do you recommend this board or K2 Turbo Dream Snowboard as I like both of these! im 5'8 and weigh 80kg with a size 11 boot. What size board would I need and would it have to be wide? Cheers sos.

I would recommend the K2 forsure. This deck is sick and tears up the mountain, but for you will get better quality and better bang for the buck with the K2. And yes I would say to get a wide as you are right on the edge of riding a wide board. So just to be safe I would get a wide to eliminate dragging. And you should get something like a 151-154, especially if you're still growing. Plus with the K2 its a reverse cambered board, whitch allows you to ride a shorter deck without the sacrafice of stability

I used the Acid in Saalbach this year.
It was a truly amazing board.
It's a little harder on the flat bases, but on the steeper hills it's like you're floating.
The flexibility makes it a fine board to go off piste.
It's probably not the best board for a beginner, but a mediate to good boarder can do very good.
You do need quite a bit strength in your leggs if you want to do the flat bases, but of course, you can always just walk.
