Rode the board once and it seemed very dead. Not lively at all. I was expecting a lot more liveliness due to the bamboo construction but it just wasn't there. Could be the Flat Profile, i.e., zero camber, tech in it that caused it. Turns seemed to take more effort than what I was used to. Decent, but not for the price Salomon is asking for. Would be better for a beginner that preferes a damper ride.
looking for snowboard for my son . Problem...
looking for snowboard for my son . Problem is he is 12 yealrs old and thus not too healvy but has big feet (size 11)so need a board which is very wide but too long : about 1.55m
Depending on the type of boarding he wants to do, there are actually quite a few options. Forum has the Recon and Youngblood in wide versions for about $300. Both are good boards aimed at progressing riders but often kept as favorites by advanced riders. For size 11, make sure not to go too wide. 25.5-26 wide is plenty. Any wider than that and he won't have the control he wants.
