salomon f22 boot

This is the 4th pair of salomon boots I have own. These boots fit like no other for me.I have a long ,narrow foot and they fit perfect right out of the box. I will never buy any other boot. They are very easy to get on and off ,nice and stiff and plenty warm for me. I do alot of split boarding and after along tour I fell no urgency to take them off.Their small profile ables me to ride regular size boards instead of the wide boards. { I wear a 12 1/2 }

Excellent boots for narrow heels and low volume feet

I echo what the previous reviewer stated, except that I believe these boots are plenty warm comparatively and that they should be 5 stars. If you go by the logic that they should be 4 stars because they are not for everyone, then you can do the same thing for every shoe/boot in existence. None of them are for everyone.

But seriously, these boots fit perfectly for people with narrow heels, low volume feet, and especially for people with longer feet, since it allows for less toe drag due to the smaller external size. I have the size 11-11.5 US size (mondo 29 I think) and they fit perfectly in size medium Salomon bindings. (SPX 5 and SPX 90 for sure) and allow me to use regular width snowboards.

The materials, fit, and finish are all top notch. I hope they keep making these boots.

Great boot for narrow feet

I have the previous year's boot but I think they're pretty much the same.

This is THE boot for people with narrow feet. I used to own an Brigade but it was just too wide and I had a lot of heel lift. This solved that problem. I also have high arches and suffer from Plantar Fasciitis because of it... this boot + a custom footbed works great. Adjustable flex too, can get pretty stiff if you want it to, but I read about people being happy with them in the park when they leave the lacing system more loose. Very comfy boot for narrow feet, easy to walk in.

It has a narrow profile... so although a size 10 fit is a size 10, the entire boot is smaller from the outside. It's more like a sneaker. On the other hand, that means less insulation - this boot is less warm than my previous pair.

Also, I've been riding it for a season and I notice there's some shallow cuts on the toes. It might never cause problems but I did notice it. I hope they don't turn into splits. If they did though, I'd probably buy the updated version of this boot... they're really nice.

Great for narrow feet - very comfortable
Adjustable stiffness - very versatile
Smaller external size means easy to walk in and easy to fit into bindings

Not good for wide feet
Not awfully cold, but not as toasty as some boots.

Honestly, it's a 5-star boot for me but I put 4 because it's not for everyone. People with wide feet who need really warm boots should look elsewhere... but if you're like me this is the perfect boot.

Previous year.

i have last years model, and don't get me wrong, i love this boot, it is a great all mountain boot, but it creased oddly and when i turn turn toeside it requires alot more attention and force than my previous boots/binding setup did. other than that, its a warm boot, has a narrow footprint, and is pretty light as far as boots go. i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good all mountain boot, but you should ask around and look into how it breaks in.
