Description

Become a tweaker.

Snowboarding is all about style, so avoid no-no's like zeaching and grabbing tindy with the Salomon District Snowboard Binding. The District highback has an asymmetrical shape and flex to allow for that extra tweak that can be the difference between properly executing a trick and violating one of the cardinal rules of steeze.
  • District highback has an asymmetrical flex pattern for maximum tweakage
  • Shadow Fit baseplate features a flexible heel hoop for maneuverability with Kevlar QuickWire for strength, allowing you binding to flex with your board
  • SCS cushioning transfer impact to your edges for improved shock absorption
  • Canted footbed mimics natural leg position for decreased fatigue
  • 3D Asym Supreme ankle strap has an asymmetrical shape that increases tweakability on the inside of your foot without sacrificing support on the outside
  • Lock-In toe strap is cored out so it grips your toe and locks your foot down
  • Micro Max lets you make micro-adjustments so you can get your straps just right

Flexy fun-ness

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I demoed these bindings for a couple months over the summer at Mt. Hood, and I have to say I was bummed to have to return them at the end of the summer.
The ShadowFit Heel loop is awesome- It will fit well with nearly any boot because it is not a firm heelcup, and I didn't feel too loose and sketchy in them. They felt loose in a good way- held me in well and had great response, but still enough flex to tweak out those grabs and have fun. The straps and buckles all fit well, and the adjustability is great- tooless, but wont simply undo itself, and not a pain to adjust on the fly. I rode the mediums, and had size 8.5 Nikes, and they fit pretty well- the toe strap seemed a little big, though. I had to knock the adjustment almost all the way to the smallest for it to feel tight.
Overall, these are awesome. Be forewarned, they are not for everyone! (Some people might not like the loose binding feeling) Try and demo a pair before buying them, and you'll either love em or hate em. Personally, I love em.

These rock.

I used these a bit while working at high cascade snowboard camp this summer and really liked them! Really good support and a fun flex makes for an awesome binding. The disc in them kind of sucks, but salomon only offers that. Oh well, its my new favorite binding without a doubt.
