Built upon Salomon's classic Sick Stick shape, the Powder Snake Snowboard is at home when the weather report calls for feet of fresh stuff. The tapered twin shape of the Powder Snake Snowboard helps with switch riding, and it also enables easy carving on powder and hardpack alike. A slightly inward pulled tail aids in response and turning for tricky situations like moguls or tight glades. With Salomon's Pow Rocker profile, the Powder Snake Snowboard becomes a pow-hungry beast capable of floating through deep snow, maneuvering through tight trees, and playing around the entire mountain.
On the inside, you'll find that the Powder Snake Snowboard features an Aspen Strong core for predictable flex and improved impact resistance. BA MD fiberglass adds a light and lively feel, and Royal Rubber rails absorb excess chatter, as well as protecting edges from blowouts. For those who enjoy hauling down open faces and tight trees at mach 5, a sintered base is featured for high-speed riding and good wax retention.

Soft and fun!
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
For a Pow board the Salomon Powder Snake is a-lot of fun. I normally ride a 156 in a Burton Joystick or 155 Never Summer SL. For the Pow Snake I got myself into a 160cm, the biggest board I own. Im 135lbs and I can easily maneuver it through pow. It is also the softest board I own. It takes no effort to flex it and make it do what you want. It's a great pow day only stick but I was able to have fun a day or two after storms on it. If i were looking for more all around pow board I may jump up to the Salomon Sick Stick. The Powder Snake is also pretty light and I found that it was easy to ride all day without getting tired. It doesn't have a lot of pop but I feel that comes with how soft it is and I was happy with it.
Overall.... Great pow board for the price definitely worth trying if your into soft floaty pow sticks.
