Description

Strap in and point it.

Josh Dirksen rips, and he's been riding pretty much forever, so by now he knows what it takes to build killer boards. That's why Salomon offers the Dirksen Collection, and you're looking at the Rancho, Josh's big-mountain pow stick. This directional tapered beast thrives on huge lines and warp speeds, thanks to an open radius sidecut and Backseat profile. If you're looking for a nimble pow jibber, look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a board that stays composed on the fastest, most exposed lines around, the Rancho has your name written all over it.

The directional tapered shape gives the Rancho a big floaty nose, and pairs it with a short, powerful tail that'll get you into and out of the hairiest, most exposed lines you'd ever want to ride. The Backseat profile puts camber under your back foot, and mates it to a flat profile under the nose for powerful turns. The blended quadratic sidecut is built for smooth turn initiation at full speed. Naturally, the Area 51 base is sintered, so it holds a bunch of wax, and runs insanely fast. Ghost carbon fiber stringers radiate out from the bindings to the tip and tail, boosting the torsional response. Royal Rubber Rails provide the damping you need for a stable ride over choppy snow.
