A slithering snake seeking skate-like satisfaction.
The Salomon Salomonder Snowboard is the official jib tool of Chris Grenier and Jed Anderson, whether they're filming in the streets or making laps through the park. With a super-soft flex and strength-enhancing features like No Chip Tips and the Aspen Strong core, the Salomonder is ready to change what's possible in the realm of rail-riding.
The Super Flat profile is completely flat underfoot for a catch-free, forgiving ride that retains the pop and stability of camber. Biax glass gives it a buttery flex, and Easy Press construction allows you to press ridiculously hard without breaking the board so you can stack tricks instead of broken decks. An EQ3 sidecut allows it to hold and edge with ease despite the board's soft flex. Royal Rubber Pads dampen vibrations when you're plowing through chunder, and the Aspen Strong wood core keeps the feel lightweight and lively. No Chip Tips fully aluminum-wrapped tip and tail makes blowouts a thing of the past, and the extruded base is easy to repair when you inevitably ding it up.

Super Loose Jib Board
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The Salomonder is really soft. It's fun to jib, press and hit rails, but for everyday cruising and hitting jumps, it's just a tad bit too soft. If you're mostly into rails and jibbing go for it, but if you're looking for a more all-around board, I'd go with something a bit stiffer.
Not a bad board...
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
... It just doesn't have the BANG factor I've been seeing in so many other boards lately. Solid board, but nothing exceptional. Loose, and flexy, but not frighteningly so. I liked the board, but there wasn't really any real selling point to it. If your looking for a jib specific board that can handle getting beat into rails day after day, this will do you wonders. But if your looking for a board that will do much beyond that, look into something else. It just wasn't super fun to cruise around the mountain on.
