Built for crushing it where the runs are steep and the snow is deep, the Salomon Synapse Snowboard Boot can make prints and lay tracks anywhere on the mountain with unmatched durability and a response that will make you swear it's hardwired to you brain. The Synapse's prowess begins with its incredibly responsive, yet pleasantly versatile stiff-flex. Now you can drop a sketchy chute with a boot that reacts when you do.
Power Lock lacing provides the feel of traditional lacing, but with a speedlace pull closure that allows you to quickly tighten or loosen your boots. The anti-catch hooks make customizing your fit quick and easy and the criss-cross locker on the tongue keeps the laces secure during long days on the mountain. The size of the cliff-drop might make you sweat, but the Power Exhale liner will make sure the hike up doesn't. The ascent-ready liners feature three mesh channels that run the entire length for moisture wicking that won't interfere with the support of the thermo-moldable, multi-density Full Custom Fit foam.
The Mystic 3 footbed promotes blood circulation to keep your feet warm and prevent fatigue, plus it has an anti-microbial treatment to help fight foot funk. New this season is the Hike Plus outsole, which has a high-traction tread to help you maintain grip on steep, icy slopes so you can lead the charge to the top with confidence.

Awesome splitboard/tour boot!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I bought these for my brother and here's what he had to say about them after day one:
First things first, not a true 8 stiffness I don't think. The Malamute at a 9/10 stiffness feels much stiffer. I'd say around a tough 6/10 on the stiffness. But the boot fits my wide foot nicely. That's why I chose the Synapse over the Malamute, the wide fit. After a long splitboard tour, my feet were still a bit sweaty so I'm not sure about the whole ultra breathable concept yet, however it was a bit warm out. Great splitboard boot for sure though. Comfortable, and grippy on the rocks while hiking. Feels solid and stiff in the bindings. Recommended use: Big Mountain/Backcountry Snowboarding/Splitboarding
True to size - Wide foot.
