Description

You might not ever want to take them off.

Your head might have trouble getting around how comfortable your feet are—even after six hours of riding—when they’re in the Salomon Men’s Synapse Boots. The heat-moldable Biocage Liner gives you custom comfort, and Salomon’s Bio Custom Fit puts the right amount of material at the right places to eliminate pressure points and keep your feet and lower legs fresh throughout the day. A mid-stiff flex delivers the response you need to slay backcountry lines, but doesn’t compromise board feel for laps through the terrain park. The Synapse’s Powerlace Pro Soft system dials in your fit with one pull, and its Sensiflex sole gives you direct feedback from the terrain for increased control in less-than-ideal snow conditions.

Exceptional (review of 07-08's)

I'm not sure how much the tech has changed from the 07-08 to 08-09, but these boots are perfect in every way.

Two points: Responsive and comfortable.
What else do you want in a boot?

- Quick access and micro-adjustable.
- Lining is that ridiculously comfy.
- Excellent Heel and toe responsiveness in ultra deep Utah powder, windblown Colorado backcountry, and average groomers.
- Dream-like performance in the steepest terrain.
- VERY comfortable while hiking side-or-backcountry. When your fitness level is equal to your friends, but they are falling on the wayside, you can thank the Synapse boot.

I highly recommend these boots. I've ridden them countless days over the last two seasons and I don't have a single negative remark about them.

Sick Boot

Just a sick boot! Salomon has it right with there speed lacing. No need to take off gloves, you can cinch down extremely tight and focus the tightness to the lower portion of the boot, upper, or the liner. Super durable too and the cookable liner makes them oh so comfortable.

Amazing Boot!

These things are warm, incredibly comfortable, supportive, and stiff enough to transmit subtle rider inputs. I haven't even taken advantage of the thermo-forming capability yet and may not simply because they're so darn good now. Being a legit size 12.5, I love the fact that Salomon provides half sizes to the larger shoe size crowd. After cramming into a 12 that cut off circulation to my toes and slopping about in a 13 that didn't provide enough input from other brands these are like a small piece of heaven, and I almost don't ever want to take them off! Besides, who doesn't love camo?

awsome boots

I bought these boots and absolutely loved em. Super comfy, warm, stiff enough, responsive (only problem was/is they are tight in the achilles area...this wasn't a problem until my achilles exploded; after the repair it's thicker so I gotta find a something else)

what part of the boot liner is heat moldable...is it the heel/toes ankle? How does one go about molding it?

Responded on

Take it to your local shop and they blow hot air into the liner while its still in the boot. Then you put your foot into it and lace it up as you would if you were going to use it. As the liner cools down, it will shape to your foot. The best time to do it is at one of those little shops right at the base of the mountain, then you can ride on your boot while the liner molds to your foot, plus your feet are nice and toasty!
