The Sanuk Rasta Knotty Women's Sandal may look pretty basic, but it's definitely not your average flip-flop. The footbed is super-soft for an plush, comfy feel, and it's made with a high-rebound material that won't pack down over time. You also don't have to worry about losing your sandal while walking through the sand thanks to a stretchy woven heel strap that provides a secure and comfortable fit, one that you won't find in any bargain bin flip-flops.
- Woven PET tubular strap is comfy and made with recycled fibers
- Stretchy heel area on strap provides a comfy and secure fit
- Super-soft molded TPE footbed with poncho lining provides comfort and support
- Happy-U rubber outsole provides traction and is long-lasting

A bit loose, not as good as expected
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
These are nice-looking sandals. One downside if they're a bit loose for my feet, (perhaps they're not a standard shape?) the back strap is not quite snug enough on my foot. I still wear them around, but they're not as versatile as I'd hoped. I wanted them as a casual pair of sandals I could wear around town on hot, rainy days during Korea's Summer. They're still ok for that, but sometimes slip off.
If only the heel strap would stay put...
- Gender: Female
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
I wish I could give this sandal five stars, but a big reason I bought it was for the heel strap that would secure it to my foot, and the heel strap does not stay put. I love everything else about the sandal: the woven strapping is lightweight and soft, the footbed is super cushy and doesn't get sweaty and slippery, and the rubber sole feels solid while the pretty flower-detail tread provides some traction. The neutral color palate of the teal/cream sandal that I selected goes with almost everything, and its dainty strapping spices up its casual look with a little elegance. But I may end up just cutting off the heel strap. To be fair, I have a very narrow heel and have a very hard time finding slip-on shoes that don't slip at the heel, so I'm not totally surprised that I'm having the heel strap slip. If you have a normal heel and can wear Tom's or other slip-ons without problems (I can't wear Tom's because my heel slips), then you'll probably be fine. But just know that you may have a slippery and not necessarily "secure" heel strap. At least this will make a very cute flip-flop...
