The molecular structure of d3o locks down under force so your elbows are protected from impact. This thing works. It is a loose fit underlayer so if you like tight thermals it may not work for you, but I liked it a lot. the elbow pads come out easy when you are washing, and if you forget to take them out it's no big deal. Also I like the look and feel of the shirt when you strip down to it when you're in the bar.

Great looking shirt. Thumb holes to help keep sleeves down and in your gloves are definitely a plus. Elbow pads easily removed and inserted. Bottom line: Great functionality complemented with nice looks!
