Your ears suck. Improve them.

Skullcandy knows that you aren’t perfect, so they made the Asym Earbud Headphones imperfect to match you…perfectly. Instead of using identical, one-design-fits-all buds, Skullcandy tailored these action-sport-ready ‘phones to fit over your right and left ears. There are other companies doing the same thing. But of those companies, none uses 13mm neodymium drivers, houses the cord in braided aluminum or gives you three sizes of gel tips to fit your ears like Skullcandy. And not one of them has the same background degree in damn awesome that Skullcandy does. Except us, of course, but we don’t make headphones.

Boom!!!

These are bad to the bone...I listen to all types of jams and even bump the rap trizacks. I have subs in my car and would not rock out on shit headphones. The Asym's are the first bud that stays in my ear while working, running, shredding and tuning out college professors. I actually sent them through the wash on accident and they still rock hard. NO, i do not work for dogfunk (even though I would like to) these are forreal legit.

Niche

The Asyms fill a niche and fill it well, but aren't perfect. I got them to replace my stolen Titans. First, the good news: the audio quality is equal. They're plenty loud and have better bass than the Titans. They do fit really well under hats and helmets. Fiddle with them a bit to find what angle is most comfortable and once you find it, you'll hardly feel them in you ear. The cord loop over the ear is similarly comfortable and low profile. Once they're in, the Asyms won't come out unless you take them out, no falling out on their own.

The bad: the cord is shorter and less sturdy than the Titan cord, but it is more flexible. There is no inline volume control which I really like, but the cord does lie nice and flat.

Bottom line: pretty close to Titans, but with much better bud design. Add a longer cord and inline volume control and they get 5 stars.

Awesomeeee

Great earbuds. Stay firmly inside my ear. I don't notice the cords around my ears anymore. I feel better when I wear these compared to regular earbuds that don't go around the ear. Sound is excellent. Use them mostly to listen from my iPod nano and Blackberry Pandora and have zero complaints about sound quality. Great bass and very little distortion.

Only downside is that the little skulls on the outside of the buds have fallen off. I suspect it is due to the fact I typically wear them under a hat and the repeated removing them from my ears under the hat has caused them to be torn off. Has no effect on the sound quality or feel of them, just don't look as steezy now. Highly recommended.

Could I wear the skullcandy Asym while shooting around warming up for a basketball game

Hey Nick,

Yeah, most definitely. I've always found the biggest problem is a long enough cord, not so much the fit of the ear bud. Whenever I'm shooting around there is typically not enough slack and the headphones get yanked out of my ear. If that is not an issue for you, these will fit great.

fit well

love how these fit. what's nice is that they don't stick out and fit perfectly under my beanie or helmet. decent sound too, surprised how well the base sounds with these.

I have (or had til some ass stole them) a pair of titans, and loved them because of the sound and quality etc. but also the in line volume control. How do these stack up?

my friend has the pink and black ones and from what i have heard they have great noise good bass get loud and he has had them for a long time about a year and a half so they are durable.

Perfect Earbuds

These earbuds are primo. I ALWAYS have problems with ear buds falling out if I even so much as turn my head while wearing them but these bad boys stay put quite well. The sound quality isn't bad either, they withstood the test of dubstep and handled the crazy bass beautifully.

Sweet headphones

These headphones are awesome! I've had multiple pairs of buds and full metal jackets but they always seem to fall out of my ears after a while. These sit nice and snug, flush with your ear. The cord around the back of the ear is super comfy and holds the Asym in place perfectly! If you like being active with your music and need your tunes to stay put, these are for you!

Perfect Earbuds

I had a serious love hate relationships with earbuds in the past, love the music, hate how they fall out doing everything. These are the perfect buds for you if you dont want the buds falling out every 5 seconds. These things are perfect for skiing/riding. Stay in and are flush so you can wear a hat, goggles, and helmet seamlessly. Highly recommended!

Stays in good

I've had these for about a year, and no complaints at all! They fit well under a beanie and stay in good even through a hard day of riding. Fit really nice under my Smith Maze helmet too. Pick up a set and you'll love em!

Nice

Excellent headphones. They hurt a little after wearing for an extended period of time, but the design and sound quality out-weigh this factor.

Decent For the 1st 2 Weeks, then...

Broken. No sound out of the left side after a light 4 mile run. Fit was decent, but pay attention to how the cords are wrapped up after they split to the headphones because if they aren't at least kinda straight, it'll be tough to tuck them behind the ears. In spite of all that, the sound quality coming out was actually pretty superb in comparison to the rest of the in-ear headphones.

Is the cord durable? i know its aluminum wrapped but i loose 4 or 5 sets of earbuds/year to failures either right before the plug or right below the bud.

The core is very durable. They can last you forever, the cord is thicker then it looks in the picture

nearly five stars

I've only had these for about a month , and so I'm not yet ready to give them 5 stars.. but they're well on their way.

been looking for years for an over the ear cord with an in-ear plug style head phone that is comfortable and will stay put

so far, these appear to fit the bill

while skiing, I wear just one of these in my left ear under a helmet .. and secure the other one (not in use) to my suspenders with an aligator clip ... works well

no wind in my left ear, doesn't work itself free after a bump run , gets plenty loud .. and I can ride for hours without discomfort

turn up the volume with both of these in your ears and you can't hear anything but your music

..just the way I like it

pretty sweet

I bought these to replace my last pair of skullcandy's and I love them! I was a little skeptical at first because I wanted something for working out, running, biking, etc. They stay in really well and block out noise much better than my last buds. The sound quality is also much better and almost as good as my old bose buds. The only thing I miss on these is the cord volume adjustment, but other than that they are perfect.

Sick little shaped dudes

These are rad. They look weird, fit perfectly, and have great audio.
