Decent 'phones

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Decent headphones for a decent price, sound is good enough though nothing to write home about. The metal construction is nice and solid, though my favorite feature was the fabric covered cable, as it tended to not tangle as much as other earphones, and it didn't produce noise when moved. Mic worked well with my iPhone, and buttons on the remote were easy to feel and use

Not bad

If your looking for some nice ear buds that sound great and feel nice to use at your computer at work or during your flight to grandma's house, these are perfect. If you're planning on being active with these buds hanging out of your ears, try Skullcandy's Fix In-Ear's.

Great sound, great feel, not so secure. They weren't sliding out of my ears or anything, but after comparing them with the Fix In-Ear's and doing a jump up and down test, the slippage factor was much greater with these.

They Echo

These sound a lot better than the Smokin' Buds, but they do have a weird kind of echo (probably from the metal houseing) so that kind of bugs me. But other than that these are solid earbuds!

eh..a little expensive

these are ok. they have very good sound quality. I'm not a dubstep gaywad so i can't comment on how good the bass quality is...but its super clear and the earbuds cancel some outside noise. the wire is wrapped in stiff plastic so it doesn't stay put that easy. plus the wrapping wore out eventually and only one of the buds works now. i don't like the fact that you have to be careful with a pair of earbuds as opposed to a set of headphones. the only reason i gave 3 stars is cause the sound quality. i won't be getting another pair of these

Big Bang for the Buck

I've spent a stupid amount of money on ear buds ... from Bose to Skullcandy and everything in between. For me ... Skullcandy sound the best and fit the best. They're durable and priced fair. When it comes to deep bass and head bangin volume, I've found nothing in a bud that comes close to Skullcandy. What can I say? ... I like it loud. I use these things for everything ... long business calls, running, biking, hiking and climbing. They've endured many crashes and have proven pretty bomb proof. Also, I like that they come with an assortment of tips. Your GF can borrow one of your pair and she can have her own tips. I'm such a fan that even my ski helmets are Skullcandy equipped.

Lasted two weeks

These sounded great for about three uses. Then the fourth time I used them, after owning them for a little over a week, the left side dropped out as described in other reviews. Unfortunately these were a gift from my wife, so I didn't get the benefit of these reviews until after the fact. Very disappointing. Dog Funk of course has a great return policy in general, but having to pay for shipping to return these defective buds feels like a bit of a ripoff.

you can also send directly to skullcandy in the future.

Amazing sound. Not for sports

I love listening to music on these -- they have tons of bass and crisp treble for tiny in-ear buds. It really puts the bass right there in your head. The bad part is that the cord is very sensitive to touch, so anything rubbing against it sounds like hearbeats in your head. Because of this, theyre terrible for running or biking. The buds also do not stay in my ear very well, especially when running. So if you want a solid, great sounding bud for lounging around the house, these are it! Not for sports.

FMJ sound incredible

I'm no headphone expert; i've owned a set of Apple in-ear ear buds, the Apple standard ear buds, a pair of WEsC Bongo's and some other pair I forget... These are by far the sickest sounding and looking headphones i've purchased. I have only had them for 3 days though so if they break anytime soon or they dont hold up when i go riding then I will update. I got these specifically for snowboarding but so far so good!!

I Would highly recommend them. The bass is deep and the noise cancellation is outstanding. Overall great quality.

not to rain on anyone's parade here, but these DO NOT sound THAT incredible. yes, they are decent quality. they are sick looking, but for $70 i would expect something much much better. I have a $20 pair of sony ear buds that perform just as well, if not better, and fit more comfortably in my ears. (granted, they don't have a mic, but sony makes the same thing w/ a mic for $40).

not as great as i expected, but i scored them from WM for $2.50, so I can't complain. just not worth $70 byt any means.

Same skull candy issue

These sounded sick, they rocked the bass, and didn't squeal on highs. BUT... same issue with skull candy headphones. after about 2 weeks, one ear goes, and then shortly after so does the other. skullcandy has got to fix their feeble connections, cause these headphones are too pricey for the same old 2 week deal

they have a lifetime warranty

Solid product

Gotta agree with what everything Jeff said down below. I'm happy with mine, the headphone break, I get new versions.

I have two sets of Icons & two sets of Full Metal Jackets, I lucked out getting them on a killer sale on the bc outlet & whiskey militia. I have a second set for when they do die I have another set to use in the few weeks until I get new versions. Works out well, any company that has lifetime warranty is worth having, Skull Candy will honor you. If it is rider abused damage, you'll get 50% off discount off their site.

OK Earbuds

Don't get me wrong on this one. I like these earbuds and I know lots of people who love them but I think they sound kind of hollow. I mainly listen to old school hip hop and they just sound a little echo'y. as for the fit, they fit great if you don't have really small ears like mine.

It is true that they will eventually break/stop working, but when that happens, simply send them to Skullcandy and they will send you the most up to date pair for free with their Lifetime Warranty! You can't go wrong with that! Beware that if you smash them or something where it is your fault they broke you will only get %50 off your replacement pair from Skullcandy, but if they break on their own, Skullcandy will replace them for free!
