Got Wood?

The best musical instruments are made from wood, so it makes sense that the Skullcandy Holua Bud Headphones are too. Delicate, but Koala tea

Sound amazing. Not bass heavy. which is what I expected - crisp, clear sound. I had to go through my library and listen to some older songs, they sound completely different. Owned for 4 months, they still work. I'm being extra careful with them though—only use them at home. Got some 5 dollar crappers for skating.

they have decent bass but if you're looking for sound quality, and not the wooden look, go for the FMJ's. Best full bass sound from any earphones I have ever heard.

Bad

I owned these headphones for 1 month, before the sound stopped working out of the left headphone. Don't get me wrong, these headphones have great sound quality, but are not durable AT ALL.

Tis nice

I've had these for a few months now and I rather enjoy them. Plus, unlike most of you, I bought them off of brociety for around $35. The sound quality is pretty awesome. My only problem is with skull candy and how they know that their wiring is horrible, but yet they don't try to fix it. Like all of my skull candy's, and friends skull candy's, there is usually always a problem with the wire. But other wise the sound on these things are pretty effing amazing. The bass kicks and the highs are nice. I would buy these again...well for the price I paid for them at least.

Over-rated!

Got these headphones off whiskeymilitia as a deal early in the season. When I saw the original price I figured that they would be comparable to my previous pair of shures, which fell victim usual wear and tear. After using these for an entire boarding season I will say that these buds are nice for riding the park and slopes, but don't even come close to the sound quality my shure set had. I feel like the bass and mid-range on these are fine but the highs just seem to be drowned out and barely present. I've messed with all kinds of equalizer settings to make sure it wasn't user error but have had no luck. The overall build quality of these is decent. I've had one bud split open on me but it was nothing a little dap of super glue couldn't fix. The cable has this rubbery coating on it so it doesn't slide like most headphone cables. This turns in to a problem if you have a lot of movement as the cable likes to stick to you and move with whatever it's resting against. I've had it happen to me a handful of times where I will twist my head to look back and the bud will pop out because of the mass amount of friction between the cable and my shirt not allowing for it to easily slide.

Bottom Line: If you want a set of headphones that you can just toss in real quick while you're carving up that line through the POW or launching off that kicker in the park, these are your headphones. if you want a pair of headphones that will give you the best listening experience, walk away from these and look someplace else.

They cost more because it's expensive to carve and stain wood in such a compact design. Not because of the sound quality. Think about it

Crap

Terrible, they cut out every 5 minutes, and the cord cover makes them awkward to use. Dont even figure its worth using the warranty, waste of $100.

Clearly you're an idiot. Don't buy something that expensive and nice and then complain about it when it has a freakin lifetime warranty. I've gone through their process three times: email - hey, my earphones are broken. skndy- okay, send em in, you get a replacement or 50% off next time you buy something.

Best Earbuds I have used!

I have used Earbuds from all of the current cool brands including Nixon, 3 kinds from Skullcandy, WeSC, and Seige and these are the best.

I am not going to talk about durability even though I left these in my pant pocket when I did laundry. Pulled them out of the Dryer where I found them and they worked perfectly. The thing is no earbud is super durable, besides the full metal jackets (broke those even).

The thing about these are they sound amazing for music and for using with your phone. Most headphones do one thing well, but these kill it in both areas. I think the wood makes the sound that much better.

Secondly they are the most comfortable earbuds I have used. I know that the rubber tips are all the same, but for some reason these don't irritate at all. I pretty much fall asleep with these things in and never get bothered by them.

Yeah they are a bit pricey, but thats a small price to pay for the best earbud out there and a Lifetime Warranty.

I know for sure the Black and Green have the in-line mic since its new for this year and all the newest Holuas contain in-line mics. However, I can't say for sure if the gold and silver Houlas are newer models.

Not Aggresive Listener Friendly

I was looking for a quality earphone that could stand up to the ware and tear i put on my earphones. So I thought "$100? how can they suck?" I obviously found out. I was running with these one day enjoying the great sound quality these put out, i won't argue with that, when my finger caught the cord and pulled it out the jack. The left earbud went out. Loving the Life time warrenty I did replace them for free. (lasted 1 month) Got my second pair, 2 weeks in stepped on the cord and the sound is in and out on the left bud... I also dropped them once and the right bud broke and is now held together with tape. So if life happens to you to and you acctuly do more then just keep your earbuds in a glass jar and only take them out when your sitting still... these aren't for you.
Pros:
Best sounding earbuds I have ever owned
Life time Warranty (Riding the warranty sponsorship!)
The clicker thing (Man I love not having to reach into my pocket everytime trying to change the song)
Rubbers(3 shapes 2 different style (rubber and memory foam. one is bound to fit you)
Cons:
Not very deriable for an active life-style
Cord doesn't dangle very well and is a little short for a 6'4 kid that sags his pants
Price ($100 is alot and the sound quality probably isn't worth it if you arent listening to music for atleast 4-6 hours of your day where you can actualy notice the difference)
Another so-so product from Skullycandy >.>

I believe that you are judging these headphones wrong. These headphones are priced at around 100 dollars because of their sound quality not because of durability. No offense, but the more expensive something is doesn't mean it will last longer, it just means it has better quality and more of what you want. Durability is quite similar in most earbuds and is often better in the less expensive earbuds that are more durable but have horrible sound quality. I believe that when you buy your headphones you should consider that higher priced definitely does not mean better durability. Just because your TV costs a thousand dollars more doesn't mean it wont break if it falls off of a table. It just means that it has better images and a clear picture. Similarly, if you buy really expensive headphones you should take care of them so that they don't break seeing how you've spent so much money on them. I don't want to be mean but you have nobody to blame for yourself if you keep dropping your headphones. That is not just day to day activity. I go jogging everyday with zune premium buds and skullcandy m8 and they are all the exact same. If you don't take care of them, they won't last
