great pair of activity headphones

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

as you can see from the previous reviews, these headphones are great for activities that you wouldn't want a really nice pair of head phones on top of your dome. nothing super about the sound, its ok but not great. i've had like 8 pairs of these, they will break on you, but thats what is so great about them, it doesn't matter if you do because of the price.

Good for the price

Sound isn't much better than anything else you will find, but they are also cheaper than most other headphones, so its not a big deal. The rubber on top sits soft on your head, but the glue holding that rubber in will eventually fall apart and so will the headphones.

Powder Run in the Trees at the Canyons

I love my Icon 2's! I recently broke my Icon 2's after having them for a couple years. I tried the Icon 3's, but the other person on the phone could hear their echo. I'll stick with the Icon 2 for now.

Skullcandy Icon 2

  • Gender: Male

Great headphones for snowboarding. They have some rubber on the top of the head band to keep them where you'd like. Durable as heck but a few solid head first landings can cause the plastic bits to snap.

Lightweight and Classic

I loved the Icon 1s and I love the Icon 2s. If you want something that sounds ok, is super light, and might even fit under your helmet, these are the ones. The remote comes in handy too, depending what you have it hooked up to.

Best Snowboarding Headphone

Cheap price, good quality, awesome fit, easy use. The best thing about these headphones is the mic and music controls! Everyone wants to skip a song every once and a while and it's great not having to open up your jacket take out your phone and change the song. The only thing this headphone is missing is volume control but even with that, no complaints at all, and hey I'm sure volume control will be on the Icon 3!

Satisfied

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm pretty pleased with these, decent sound quality. I can't wait to use them skiing. My only complaint is that they have a tendency to slide off my ears unless they are on just right.

Made to stay on your head!

I've been using these for snowboarding for the last 2 years and they are perfect! They are small and fit comfortably under your goggles which help hold them on your head when you get inverted and also hold them against your ears for superior sound! You can also move them off an ear or 2 so you can year what's going on around you and still hear your music! They also have a grippy rubber on the top that holds onto your beanie so it stays put and doesn't move back and forth. These are so comfortable that your forget you are wearing them!. They also work ell with Siri if you are using an iPhone 4s to check the time, check or reply to a text, or to make or receive a call! The only issue I have had with these is sometimes the button will get pushed in between my chin and my jacket and it will pause my music.

Get Them!

Sick! Rode with them a fair bit. Have taken a few tumbles and still are in tact, sickest headphones for the slopes out there, no question. Get these!

The mic keeps going out on these. Other than that they are perfect for riding.

Responded on

Hey man,

These sound good for boarding. Have you heard of ZED-phones?

They're made for boarders by boarders in Melbourne. They are wireless, flat, headphones stitched into really warm beanies and headphones.

You get them from http://ZED-phones.com They ship globally for free.

Let me know what you think.

Not too shabby

You can listen to music, talk on the phone, block out that annoying co-worker, the works! Good sound, good feel

How do these compare with the Frends Alli?...

Okay

Pretty cool at first, but then after awhile they break. I'm pretty careful with my stuff, but I've gone through two pairs already because the sound cuts out in one side after awhile; and they fit kinda weird. The sound's pretty good, but needless to say, I'm not getting another pair.
