Are these worth the $52 sale price even though everyone hates on the normal skullcandy sound. I assume with such a huge discount they are still beyond comparable priced headphones?

Responded on

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the question. I actually own the Skullcandy SK Pro DJ Headphones and $52 for these is a pretty darn good deal. The sound is really good with a durable design that has lasted me over three years. Long wearing time lead to sore ears sometimes for me, but that's really the only complaint I have. I would say to go for it.

Awesome Headphones

I'm no DJ, but i love these headphones. I didn't necessarily need the crazy long cord, but it didn't hurt anything, thats for sure. I bought these months ago and the headphones are still going strong. I break lots of headphones, these have lasted far longer than anything I've owned before. Oh yeah, They sound awesome too. Definitely worth the money.

Great Sound with Durability and Style

For just a straight up DJ style headphone, these things are definitely stylin'! I get some of the better sound out of these than most on-ears as well. I also feel like I could drop a bomb on them and they would come out unscathed. The only minor complaint I have is that the ear holes, while proportionally good, have a over-stiff foam to them and a slight discomfort occurs after a couple of hours for the people with bigger ears.

just plain awesome

Well I have purchased, many headphones in the past and consistantly skull candy never let me down. Once more they came through for me. Not only is the design hot, but the quality of product you get for it's price is brilliant. Sound clarity on these is so good you feel as if you were listening in a studio. Base and treble are capable of being very powerful but they keep their sound clarity. Big points also for such a sturdy design.

In the picture of the carbon Sk pro's it looks like the cord is black and there is nothing across the top. At the Skull Candy web site (Skullcandy.com) their same Sk pro headphones have a bright blue cord that matches the blue inner ear piece and in that same color is says Skull Candy across the middle top piece in their picture of these same headphones. So my question is. Is there a difference between the two?

If anyone eles is wondering this question, i got my answer back from the workers here at backcountry.com and yes they are the same as the ones on the skull candy website, they just needed to update their pictures

What's the difference Between carbon, sparkle motion and throwback???

Aside from the color and graphic designs on the headphones, all three are alike. There is no difference in sound quality, headphone size or options.

Skullcandy SK Pro

These are the best headphones out there. They have extremely good highs and lows. The only thing I have negative is that I am not a DJ, so I do not have a need for such a long cord, but the way that they have the coil in the cord makes it so much easier than straight cords as in they do not tangle. I got them in the mail 2 days after I bought them, and this was by USPS mail! I am extremely satisfied. This place had the best price for them as well. I will definitely buy from them again.

Skullcandy SK Pro

SK Pro yo, you may be able to bust a flow, so this may able to enable your fondness to grow of these headphones, if you can't flow, it's ok, it can't be taught, you've fought hard, I urge you to play this card, buy the SK Pro, it'll just be like you at the actual show, you'll be aglow, laughing like Santa - ho ho ho.

amazing headphones. everything about em is awesome. theyre extremely well built and durable. the sound all across the board is great. pumpin bass and treble u can feel. hoever unless ur a real audiophile, you can get similiar sound from the hesh which are like 100 bucks less.

alot of people hate on skullcandy and say bose is better and shiz, butin my opinion, these destroy all competition at the same price range.. plus they look sick

Responded on

they do look sick and your right about the hesh headphones

Responded on

Yeah, sorry, but no. Skullcandies are not the best you can get at the 150 price range. Real audiophiles look at Sennheiser and Denon. Bose sucks, by the way. SK Pros are one of the few Skullcandies that sound great, along with FMJ and Aviators.

But these are a little louder then hesh. If you take them off your head you can hear the differentents
