Remember, the Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds Headphones are for listening, not for smoking. These potent little earbuds fill your head with a thick musical haze with no paranoia thanks to its noise-reducing design. The sticky-icky sound quality of the Smokin’ Buds will have you passing off your schwaggy old headphones with the quickness. The braided nylon cord adds durability, and the included emergency bottle opener saves the day when you lose your lighter (again). Fire up your MP3 player and let the Smokin’ Buds take you to musical pleasuretown.
I bought the white/chrome. This is the third pair of Smokin Buds I've purchased. This pair didn't have the inline volume control that I have on my other ones and that I was expecting. Not worth the shipping to return them. But otherwise quality earbuds.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. These headphones have really good sound quality and awesome bass response. Only let down is there not very durable (the cord got pulled out of the connector and one of the wires snapped and now my right bud doesnt work) but the rasta looks sweet and their really cheap ($25!). If you want some good and cheap headphones, go for the Smokin' Buds.
Do these headphones transfer noise to your ear from rubbing the cords or them brushing against something? Because the ink'd models do and it's really annoying.
These headphones are cheap, as is the quality of them, but that's totally what I expected when I got them. I must say though, I am not at all disapointed by them. They are loud, sounds are good enough for just going for a ride or hanging around my pad. The different size inserts are good, my ears need the small ones, but they still tend to get sore after a couple hours of use. Overall though, for the price I paid, I can't complain, they are good enough to own, yet cheap enough to not care when they break.
The earbuds were a Christmas gift for my 13 year old cousin who is a pretty cool kid. He loved the buds, especially the color. He thinks his cousin is pretty cool for buying them for him,.
I got these earbuds as a birthday present in the green/black color. They look sweet, the sound quality is great, and they don't fall out of your ears when your doing something crazy like snowskating on iceplant. Overall they are a great deal for the price and i wouldn't go anywere without them.
I just picked up a new pair of these yesterday at best buy, after snapping the con my old ones. They didn't come with a bottle opener and the cords don't look woven, unless it's under the rubber.
i see that everyone else has problems with material quality, but I have not. I have had these headphones for a couple years now and have used them very often, and they still sound/look just as good as the day I got them. The bass response is pretty good for the price/style headphone, and the volume remote is a nice luxury. In my personal experience, these are a great pair of headphones
some of the best ear buds ever. great sound quality and great bass. i just dont like the fact that theres an inline volume adjuster, it always seems to slip downward but that doesnt change the fact that these are awesome
I used these last week snowboarding and they work great! When you got em in, its your own little world of awesome...can't hear anything else. Even if they end up breaking, ill buy more.
Got them in cyan and black. Pretty sweet nothing crazy just something i can wear when i dint wanna have my over the ear agents on. Nice clear sound some bass but you can't expect much from an ear bud
Just got these today and love em so far! Comfy in your ear, and good sound quality as well. So many colors to choose from you can't go wrong. Pick up a pair and look awesome while rocking your favorite music at the same time!
These headphones are incredibly average. The sound was okay for the price and they look cool. But they aren't anything special. Also none of the tips fit my ears so they are constantly falling out. The tips also irritate my ears for some reason.
There's almost zero bass coming through these headphones, it's an all-treble experience. The volume control slide has almost no resistance to it and moves up and down if you look at it the wrong way. I actually turned it to loud and wrapped it in duct tape to stop it from moving around while riding.
They come with 3 sizes of removable inserts, and maybe it's just me but none of them seem to fit very well. The large ones stretch out my ears and are super uncomfortable while the 2 smaller sizes won't stay in my ears. Also the rubber inserts make this popping sound whenever I move the earbud around in my ear which is irritating and super loud to the point of causing pain in the inner ear.
I suggest you save yourself the $20 and buy a better quality earbud if you want clean sound and comfort, because the smokin' buds offer neither. Mine have already hit the trash can.
These are great for snowboarding I just started last season so i fell a lot but these never fell out if you keep the chords under your jacket and sweater and everything they will never get tangled. I also like how they isolate all sound and if I'm out with a friend i can just take one headphone out Anyway they are awesome headphones and I recommend them
ummm i had these headphones for about a month then they stopped working. good headphones tho great bass and you cant hear any outside noise. the buds are really comfertable. Im using Avios now and their pretty good im think im going to get WESC oboes or congas for my birthday
I dont know why people have good reviews on these headphones...skullcandys are pretty good in style, but their sound sucks. Every level of sound (low, mid, high) are muffled and it has no bass at all. If you compare the sound with better earbuds you will definitely notice the difference. If you want some bass for your headphones DO NOT GET THIS. I do not recommend it for anyone. I would recommend meelectronics m6. Their $20 on amazon and they are so worth the price.
For the price they are pretty good. They eliminate most outside noise. I use them while I ride, but also while I run. I don't like them much for running. When the cord hits something(like my arm), it makes a thumping noise. They stay in fine until I start to break a sweat, then they fall out. Either invest in a more expensive pair, or pay the same price by going through multiple sets of these. They don't last that long.
My buddy left these outside of my apartment last fall before a big snow storm. We couldn't find them the next day and figured they were lost. Found them in the spring. After being outside in the snow and rain for 5 months they were still pumping out sound. Fantastic buds.
Oh and when i say the sound quailty is nice i mean that for $30 it is nice, Comparing it to sony's $40 or $60 pair, these don't even come close, well worth the extra $10 or $30. And Sony seems to last long in my experiences (2-3 months)
I completly agree. The sound quality is nice, the rubbers generally fit all ears, but they dont last at all. Im a sucker and always buy these cause they are cheap and look cool... Gone through 4 sets and i think the record time of not blowing a bud out was... 3 weeks. I don listen to music 4-8 hours a day though so... Maybe if your a casual listener though it would be better for you then me.
These buds are nice, and im usually nice when it comes to reviews, but... I bought these 2 months ago on WhiskeyMilita and they look cool, sound good, but they're aren't very comfortable, and after only 2 months the right bud just completely fell apart. I take very good care of them, always keep them in the little bag, and today the bud just fell out and no sound comes out. Good for the price, just don't expect much.
They work great at first, but do not last for very long. The metal ring base around the ear piece fell off after a few weeks. The ear pieces come off super easy. I have to be gently if I'm pulling them out of my pocket.
DEFINATELY BEST BANG FORYOUR BUCK. YOU WANT SOME BUDS THAT CANT HIT HARD, ARE NAME BRAND, AND STRAIGHT STYLIN WITHOUT BUSTIN YOUR BALLS WITH THE BILLS? SMOKIN' IS WHERE ITS AT.
hey..whats up?..hmmm ive been thinking deathly bout this skull candy accesories n stuff..want to ask something that if im ordering from this web site..can u send it to Brunei Darussalam? coz im i live in Brunei..how i wish this stuff were selling in Brunei..im hoping u can help me
They look cool, but I must say I went from a marginally more expensive set of S0ny ear buds that sounded WAY crisper and clearer, to these. The s0nys were way better sounding, but my left one broke and I bought these on recommendation from a friend. Big mistake, as the sound quality is so muddy. They also broke really shortly after buying them and I did not even abuse them or use them much. DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU LIKE GOOD SOUND QUALITY, but BUY THEM IF YOU LIKE MUDDY BASS. I guess for 29.00 they are O.K., at best.
Up until now I have loved these buds. Skull Candy needs to step it up and spring for longer lasting material though. On both buds where it has the "R" and "L", has broken off on both just below the speaker. The cord has cracked and wire is exposed, constantly snagging on my shirt while I am riding my bike. The stock ear fittings that come with these completely blow. They slipped out of my ears all the time, and I have tried all 3 sizes. Eventually they ended up cracking and falling apart. I sprung for the fitted foam ear fittings and the sound quality jumped up 3 fold. Your ears dont hurt after long duration of wearing them and they block out all surrounding noise. I definitely recommend these for work. I just wish they came with the foam ear bit instead of these sub-par rubber ones.
These earbuds sound ok for the price, but they don't last long. I haven't had any of mine go bad yet, but I also don't use them very much. My brother has had about 5 pairs go bad, but Skullcandy has a lifetime warranty so when they stop working he just takes them into Skullcandy and they give him a new pair! If you don't live near Skullcandy in Utah or Washington state, then you can go onto Skullcandy.com and go through their warrant there and mail them in and you will get the most up to date ones!
The sound is good, the mic is nice. I did need to get these replaced, thankfully Skullcandy was very good about replacing the headphones. These definitely aren't high end, but they get the job done.
I own multiple pairs of the Smokin' Buds and they sound great and have really good sound quality for the price! My only complaint is they don't fit in really small ears like mine very well.
It is true that they will eventually break/stop working, but when that happens, simply send them to Skullcandy and they will send you the most up to date pair for free with their Lifetime Warranty! You can't go wrong with that! Beware that if you smash them or something where it is your fault they broke you will only get %50 off your replacement pair from Skullcandy, but if they break on their own, Skullcandy will replace them for free!
These headphones are a great buy for the money. I can ski with them in but can't run with them because they fall out. The only bummer is the little silicone ear pieces fall off and I end up losing them. When I need to use them at work I can pretty much tune out everyone around me, only bummer is that no one notices that I have them in. Maybe I should rethink my strategy...
can u send this earphone to Brunei Darussalam if i order it from this website?im crazy bout this skull candy stuff..theres no skull candy accesories selling in brunei..:(
