There's a villain out there, coming after us. We can either sit and hope not to be victims, or we can put on the Skullcandy Smokin' Buds with Mic, a black tank top, and an old red bandana and go seek justice, vigilante-style. Or you can go on the news, have someone remix your long-winded, empty promise of justice, and earn your 15 minutes of fame. Then try to sell some shirts before you ultimately fizzle out.
Gold plated 3.5mm plug resonates with clear sound and resists corrosion like nobody's bidness
Two sets of silicon tips swap easily and accommodate damn near every ear type
Yes, it comes with a soft carrying case that you'll probably lose in a week
Compatible with iPhone, iPod, and most other other MP3 players and stuff
Yes, I agree with the reviews that say these break easily. For me, my cord always got beat up and would no longer transmit to the buds. But I took some good slams with these in and they lasted quite a while when you take that into account. Through longboarding and snowboarding my smokin buds have lasted an average of 8 months. But the quality of sound is worth it, much better than a pair you pick up for 10-15 bucks, and you can't beat the buds 'cause they stay in your ear. If you're looking to mellow out and listen to tunes, these are definitely for you. If you are going to be riding hard, expect to be buying a new pair within the year.
THESE HEADPHONES ARE AVERAGE EVERYDAY ONES THAT ARE COMFORTABLE AND COOL LOOKING. BUT, THE ACTUAL HEADPHONE BREAKS VERY EASILY. BUT IF THEY DO BREAK YOU CAN SEND THEM TO SKULLCANDY FOR A FULL REFUND.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. i have gone through countless pairs of these for numerous reasons... especially in the last year or so. like most skull candy headphones, they cut out in one year, after about 2-ish weeks, and then shortly after, they stop altogether. skull candy has to fix their feeble connection problems, cause these headphones are sick, while they work
the things sound great for the 2 days that they work, then they decide they dont wanna play music anymore. i dnt even understand how they break. i used them for listening to music on train rides. ive gone through like 5 pairs.
I bought them for $35 at target and i had them for 2 days and the metal piece you plug into your iPod fell out and target replaced them for something of the same price or cheaper so i got sony head phones for 10 bucks cheaper and they lasted me a year and i dropped them in water and the still worked. and the sound was just as good.
Yes they are only $30, noth that cheap, but have a tinny and lifeless sound. The on cable controller is handy, don't have to take your ipod/iphone out of your pocket. The silicone bits (that stick into your ear) are not the best sizes. The smalls are very small and the standard ones are quite large. They do come out of your ear with little effort. If you need a sports type earphone, grab one with a hook at the top
These earbuds sound ok for the price, but they don't last long. I haven't had any of mine go bad yet, but I also don't use them very much. My brother has had about 5 pairs go bad, but Skullcandy has a lifetime warranty so when they stop working he just takes them into Skullcandy and they give him a new pair! If you don't live near Skullcandy in Utah or Washington state, then you can go onto Skullcandy.com and go through their warrant there and mail them in and you will get the most up to date ones!
I own multiple pairs of the Smokin' Buds and they sound great and have really good sound quality for the price! My only complaint is they don't fit in really small ears like mine very well.
It is true that they will eventually break/stop working, but when that happens, simply send them to Skullcandy and they will send you the most up to date pair for free with their Lifetime Warranty! You can't go wrong with that! Beware that if you smash them or something where it is your fault they broke you will only get %50 off your replacement pair from Skullcandy, but if they break on their own, Skullcandy will replace them for free!
