Don’t let the size of the Skullcandy Titan Bud Headphones fool you. This tiny headphone is actually a musical juggernaut of epic proportions, ready to boom high-quality sound directly into your dome. The metal housing features a precision 11mm speaker, and Skullcandy included three sizes of silicon ear pieces to customize your fit. When the music stops, slip the Titan Buds into the included nylon mesh case, where they will wait patiently until your next session.
I prefer these to full metal jackets for a few reasons, but there are a few things better about the FMJ. FIrst, the titan has better cords. Skullcandy says the cloth cords won't tangle as much. I don't find that to be true. They tangle just as much. Titans have thick rubberized cords, which I like a lot more. Second, the cord on the titan is longer. The cord on the FMJ is just too short, i pull the buds out of my ears all the time. Third, way cheaper, because it doesn't include the inline mic, which never works anyways (didn't on my iphone 4 at all). The forward and reverse controls on the FMJ suck too, they don't work. So, for the price, the titan delivers the same sound, but for cheaper, with some better features.
These are the most comfortable, best sounding, most stylish earphones you'll find anywhere. I got the copper ones and they look sick. The fit perfectly in the air and have the purest sound I've ever heard. The base is strong but cozy and they can get really loud without that annoying scratchy static that comes up n other buds. If you want an amazing headphone for a decent price, BUY THESE.

ive had the smokin buds and ink'd buds and decided to upgrade to the titans. extremely dissapointed. the sound isnt that much clearer and THERE IS NO BASS. i got the purple ones cuz they looked sick but then when they cam in they looked mad girly. dont buy these. spend less money on the smokin buds and get better sound
Bro you must have gotten some deffective ones or your ears have gone retarded, cause the titan's are so much betta than the inked, and smokin buds, and sound is way fuckin betta. Oh, and I've never seen or heard a pair of ear buds with as much bass as the titian's.
And one more thing bud....girly really? What are you like 12? The purple color way is sick, your a big boy now, the only thing you should be calling girly are skirts and high heels.
I got these at around christmas time and I loved them to start, they don't feel uncomfortable in your ears, and they offer amazing sound quality, but like 2 weeks ago I noticed the wire starting to tear just above the plug, and now they wont work because the internal wiring has just shredded, it's my own fault because I wrap my headphones around my ipod when I'm not using them, however I would expect the makers to accomodate this with a rubber surround or something like that on the original ipod headphones, because when they worked they were amazing, I would love to give these 5 stars because they are fully amazing, but I just wish they were more durable :)
i had the same problem with these headphones and a second pair of skullcandys. As annoying as it is, you really do have to keep them in their case all the time : (
just got my titans in the mail today, they definatley have bass. they're better than my ipod standard head phones thats for sure. im glad they came with extra buds because the big ones seamed to fall out. but the smaller ones bump. good buy, i got them on sale for 17.95 or something like that. i dont know about paying full price though
Good if you can get on sale, don't pay the full retail. These headphones are huuuge markup on the price from the manufacturer. Decent sound, cleaner bass than ink'd or smokin' buds.
i got the purple ones, look sick. 20 bucks is the only price i'd pay though. 40 is pushing it. the bass is clean, i don't know how these other kids are saying "NO BASS". cuz it's definetly there. they crank pretty loud too. louder than my smokin' buds. one con is that the cord doesn't have like a junction where the wire splits into the individual buds. its the kind where the amount you split the buds apart is the amount they stay apart. no thing that like cinches the two cords back together. make sense? probably not.
This is my first set of ear buds and I love them. I was a little wary about not having headphones, but these are great. I got the chrome ones and they look dope. The cord is super durable and the sound is terrific.
I've been through dozens of ear buds. I usually went with 2XL because they were 9 bucks and looked cool, but one ear dies within 6 months.
Im hoping these last, so far they've taken a beating and its been about a month. they are sturdy, have huge bass and clarity, and DO NOT look girly at all, I don't know what that other guy was about ( I have the purple/yellow ones)
Update - Lasted about 6 Months. Yep. disappointing.
Its been a while since I have used skullcandys and I must say I am not dissapointed. The headphones block out outside noise very well, so well you will find yourself only using one bud at a time. Then there is the sound quality, as for the music as a whole it sounds much deeper than with other speakers like on a iHome or things like that. The bass is also good, not exceptional, but better than most buds that carry a simiar price tag. These buds can also crank the tunes loud without the annoying rattle that comes from other headphones. I have also used them skiing a couple times and have never heard a difference in the sound quality or had problems with the buds falling out of my ears. Altogether a good buy for some one that listens to music fairly often (about three hours a day is how much I use them) and needs something with more kick.
I would give them 5 stars but the bass just is not perfect. Again in no way is the bass bad, it just is not the best I have heard.
got the rasta ones, i had the smokin buds for awhile until they broke, then i decided to get these. The braided cord is good, doesn't get tangled that much, and theres ALOT of bass. and they did come with the inline volume control. luckily i got them when they were half as much, i don't think these are worth $35, but then again i dont think any ear buds should cost more than 20$.
I don't have the biggest ears out there, so I've found that many ear buds start to hurt after several hours. These come with foam tips (think ear plug material) rather than the standard rubbery tips that most vendors provide. Over the course of a long flight or ride, these are far more comfortable. The sound quality is quite good too, so they are an overall great buy.
Great sound...no. Amazing sound. They can handle the bass on my rap tunes and the highs on my techno. If you are serious about your tunes and want crisp sound these are for you.
is the cord on these headphones quiet? i have the skullcandy inkd and everytime the cord touches my shirt it makes a really loud sound that drowns out the music, making running really unpleasant with the cord constantly bouncing off my shirt and getting very loud. Does this cord do the same thing or is it quieter?
The cord makes a little noise but that just means you have to turn your volume up. Besides the little cord noise it makes when you run, they were great for snowboarding with me. They fit your ears really well. Just don't make my mistake; keep cats away from them. They tend to chew on the cords haha.
Pretty decent sound for the price and I've been giving these things a run for their money at work, on the road and at home for almost 2 years now. They're small and comfortable enough to leave in all day with no complaints.
I would give 5 stars. I love the headphones. Great bass, highs and comfort.
What irritates me is that these headphones have a huge difference between each of them. Check the cords. I was specifically wanted a braided cable because they are alot more flexible and it makes it easier to use riding my motorcycle.
I got the steel colored titans. the description said it had a braided cable. And it does... covered in a clear plastic rubber/silicone type stuff.
Come'on people.. if the manufacturer changes the product.. update your description, pictures, etc.
has anyone used them with a helmet? i have the smokin buds and the are a little long to use with a helmet comfy..are these shorter as in at the speaker?
picked these up on W.M. the price was right so I figured I'd give em a try so far they seem to be some of the better buds I have owned I've had 150$ buds down to 15$ and these are up there with the best the fact is if you use ear buds alot they will break these have pretty good all around sound and seem sturdy, very happy with them and the price
Even though I have only had these headphones for 3 weeks they have been amazing so far. Great quality compared to my old stock iPod earbuds and they do a decent job about blocking out noise.
I enjoy music as much as the next person and I say these are all I need.
Would these earbuds last in rough conditions? cuz i bought 2 pairs of skull candys last year and they worked fine until the weather got bad. they both stopped working and havent worked since
it's alright if it doesn't last. skullcandy has the best warranty department i've ever seen. i've had my fair share of broken headphones from them, and every single time they send me a brand new pair, no questions asked. so if youbuy one pair you got headphones for life.
I was quite disappointed by the cord durability, I suffered no problems with the speakers, but the cord started to tear from wrapping the headphones around my ipod when I wasn't using them
So these headphones are real nice if you dont do anything but sit around all day. I was working and a little tug on the wire and the part that hooks into your ipod the top of that broke, so the wires are exposed and probebly will break soon. I super glued it back on so Im hoping for a month or more for the life of these suckers. They do have great bass, but i do find myself having to push them into my ears hard to get the full sound. Overall I do not recommend these headphones.
I got these buds mainly for working out. A lot of buds don't stay in very well at the gym or when I'm running, but I haven't had any problems with these. They are super comfy and the volume adjustment on the cord is great for when you have your ipod stashed in a pocket.
Great headphones. Very loud and very clear sound. And it comes with a carrying case that makes it easy to stuff them in your pocket or bag without the cord getting tangled.
I love the inline volume control!! I can just turn the volume down on the ear buds instead of what I am plugged into! They also seal out noise I have to pull them out to hear my kids!
ive bought these headphones twice and both times heyve broke but they are really cool but this will be my second time sending them back to dogfunk but they have a lifetime warrenty
... but I always have trouble with earbud phones, so out of all the ones I've tried, these are the best. The sound quality is excellent though, especially for earbuds.
I really like these. Pretty good sound. Nice bass. They also look sick. The downside however was that the paint started chipping within 2 weeks. The cord is also really long and gets in my way A LOT. Other than that I wood highly recommend these.
It looks nice and the sound quality is ok. The main problem I have with these ear buds is the bass. I mostly listen to rap/hiphop and when the bass gets a little loud it distorts...distorts very badly. When the bass isnt too high it sound decent. Another problem is the cords tangles easily. Other than that I cant complain.
but i cant see these ear budus lasting, they feel so fragile.
these are probably the best in ear headphones i have ever owned/ listened with.. the only thing i do not like is that there is no point on the cord where the two wires split.. so you have to manually pull them apart and keep it at that length..
..but as far as sound these thing can be amazing as far as bass.. you just need to change the Equalizer around to get it to bump and then itll perform..
got mine today and they're sick! First time using skull candy. I've always used sony in the past. The bass hits nicely, even when cranked up. Overall sound is clear and the inline volume control makes things so much easier to adjust. I only wish they were the style type that went behind the neck, but that's no deal breaker. And there's no type of static or sound from the chords touching. I would definitely recommend these.
When I first put these in my ears, the music touched me all the way down to my soul. They are amazing!!! The quality is truly remarkable for how small they are. They completely block out all other noises so it's just you and your music. The bass is really good as well, it's very responsive. However....after wearing them on the go, I noticed a lot of noise coming from the cable rubbing around on things. It's really surprising how loud it is when it just rubs on your jacket or anything else. You also have to be clean shaven to wear these, because when the cord rubs on your beard, forget your music, it's loud!! I am pretty pleased with the purchase, but I'm glad I only paid $14 for them off of Whiskeymilitia. I would recommend them to anyone who won't be bothered by a little background noise when they're movin' around.
For the price and the decent sound quality (the highly touted bass drivers deliver above-average sound, at best), the Titans are what the Smokin' Buds should have been. Cord is actually a little bit too long though--would expect this length from a pair of studio cup headphones, not earbuds. You could do much worse for headphones though. Not sure if that's a compliment or not.
