Description
Get a goggle that actually works with your glasses.
Squeezing a regular-sized goggle over your prescription eyeglasses isn't ideal, and neither is the fogging that inevitably ensues. The Knowledge OTG Turbo Fan Goggle uses a fog-eliminating, two-speed fan and Smith's 'Over-The-Glasses' large design to ensure that you see every little terrain flaw, drop-off, and fellow snow-slider with reliable clarity no matter how hard you push your skills.
- Floating foam membrane means you don't suffer pressure at your temples
- Two-setting, micro-electronic fan on the top of the frame circulates fresh air and draws moisture out for ultimate fog reduction—run the low setting in normal conditions, then crank it to high during a backcountry tour or heavy pow-sesh
- Carbonic-X lens with TLT Optics offers unmatched clarity thanks to the tapered top and bottom rim and impregnated anti-fog technology—less distortion and moisture build-up equals a safer day on the hill
- Vaporator Lens Technology uses a dual-layer lens with a Porax Filter to keep the moisture out and prevent fogging
- Urethane frame flexes with each facial movement to enhance comfort—shape seamlessly fuses with your Smith helmet
- DriWix dual-layer face foam features a soft backing layer at the frame and a supple fleece lining against your face to absorb sweat and wick it away
- Small battery pack on the side of the strap keeps weight near the goggle frame
- Silicon backing keeps the adjustable, quick-clip strap stuck to your helmet or hat
- Compatible with the ODS2 prescription corrective eyewear solution kit (sold separately)—snaps into place on the bridge of goggle frame for a seamless fit
- Soft, microfiber bag included

I purchased the Knowledge OTG to try out after sending back a Smith IOX Elite Turbofan for repair.
The Knowledge is a decent OTG fan goggle and will keep the fog off but the fan noise is noticeable, the lens is not near the quality of the IOX (or Phenom or Prophecy as I understand) and lens choice is limited if you want to swap or buy additional lenses.
If you are looking for a standard OTG goggle that will help keep your glasses fog free - the Knowledge should do the trick. And hopefully you can find it at a deep discount. But for the same price at retail, the IOX without the fan might work just as well, and is hands down a better goggle.
Best I've ever had.

Why I've never owned this goggle before is beyond me. For years, I've struggled with fogging glasses beneath my goggles which either forced me into being a much more cautious skier (where's the fun in that?) or just going without my glasses (blind as all hell). The turbo fan technology is great, the low speed keeps things clear and the high speed fixes things up in a snap for those heavy storm days or super warm springy ones.
I see no need for me to EVER buy a different model of goggle. I use this in conjunction with a Smith Vantage helmet and the duo works perfectly and seamlessly together. Buy this and never worry about foggy glasses again.
Only downside: only 1 AAA battery goes dead pretty quickly (1 week of use), my suggestion is to just carry a few extras with you and make sure to remove the battery when not in use and during the off season.

I have the Sensor Mirror. Overall, very good for variable light conditions, only thing is looking through two sets of lenses (glasses and goggles) just presents issues in low and flat light on its own. Not much you can do about that. As for night time, try to find a clear lens for that.
Here's a good description of lens types/abilities:

Hey I got these, Thanks for your review. Have you found any tricks to replacing the lenses? It took me over 30 mins and many tries to replace it the first time and have that bottom black border sit flush with the bottom lining of the goggle. The first 5 tries I saw the border in the lens and it was like double vision. Any tips?

I've been using the Smith Turbos for years. I don't know how many different types of crap I put on my goggle lenses to prevent or even reduce fogging, but nothing was ever good enough... until I found Smith Turbos.
The design has improved over the years and the initial issues have been resolved. The battery pack is minimal (holds one AAA battery), stays out of the way, and is sealed. The fan noise is almost imperceptible.
I've been out of the wettest and snowiest days and as long as I can keep my wipeouts from filling my goggles with snow, they stay fog free.

Which lens did you buy this goggle with? How does it do in all the weather conditions? Especially night time? Thanks!
