686 Smarty Command Pant - Men's

686 gave the Men's Smarty Command Pants a fleece liner for those frigid days in the park. Après riding, lounge at the lodge in the fleece liners. When temps climb out of the single digits, take out the fleece liner and enjoy the Smarty Command's breathability—not getting clammy when you ride hard is definitely optimal. These loose-fitting pants have multiple pockets to hold tools, snacks, 420 kit, a six-pack, and a couple hamsters.

Bottom Line: If you bring a six-pack and the hamsters, we recommend you don't fall.

these are about the warmest pants I've ever owned, sick liners...although they can get the little fuzz balls if you wash/dry them. gotta get em w/ Smarty jacket to attach w/, although I heard they can attach to some other brands too. really sick pants worth every penny!!!

Sick Pant, and even sicker liner

By:
November 3, 2008

To start off this pant is sick. Nice and baggy just how i like them. I'm 5'9'' 140 and went with the mediems. A little big but i'm a fan so its real nice. I got the orange ones and they are a little brighter than they look on the computer but nonetheless really nice. The fleece liner is even nicer. It will keep you real warm on a -20 powder day, but take it out and you'll be dry and cool on a 60 slush fest. Also the vents are nice and big so if you get a little hot just slide those zippers down. The pockets are big and the boa gaiters are really nice, and don't get in the way if you don't have boa boots. If your looking for a fresh new pair of pants rock these and you can't go wrong.

686 gear runs big in length and waist. Our size chart lists size Medium as a 34 max waist, but I have seen bigger dudes fit Mediums.

Depending on your waist size, you might be able to rock a Medium-- they will still give you the length you need. A large will definitely fit you just fine but they won't be too slim.

Wow

I have never owned a 686 product before but I say "Try everything thrice" and I must say that it will be hard to divert myself from further 686 products. They are incredibly warm, super waterproof, fit perfectly (not too tight, not too baggy, baby bear of pants); not to mention the build value is out of this world.
