Arbor Wasteland Snowboard - 2008

Take the Arbor Wasteland Snowboard for a spin in the backcountry. This all-mountain board's directional twintip shape lets you launch a switch backside 540 off a huge kicker, stomp your landing, and point it toward the trees. Whether you're in the park, the powder, or the steeps, the Wasteland's carbon fiber strut gives you spirited pop that won't throw a wrench in your spin and edge-to-edge initiation. This mid-wide ride's light poplar and paulownia core gives you a floater style feel in the fluff, and the progressive sidecut helps you hold an edge at breakneck speeds. A complex mix of inlaid woods gives each Arbor Wasteland board's graphic a unique look.

Bottom Line: Take your park tricks to the backcountry with the lone wolf Wasteland Snowboard.

Its a smooth ride but top sheet peels easy

I was riding this in the backcountry of ALaska and it was a really smooth ride easy to turn but i went off a small jump (less then 1 ft high) and a portion of the top sheet peeled off and in the boards warranty it does not cover the top sheet

Wasteland Wastes the Competition

By:
February 17, 2009

I recently purchased the Wasteland after I had my previous board/bindings jacked from me at Mammoth Mountain. My previous board was a Burton Baron 166...heavy as hell but still a decent stick. Up until this point, I rode nothing but Burton and was never disappointed. I just spent two days on my Wasteland, in a gamut of conditions, and it dominated them all and it did it in way more style and with far better feel than any of my Burton boards. This is the best purchase of my life--Hands Down!!
