Burton Triad Snowboard Binding - 2007

Ride all day—and ride hard—with your boots strapped into Burton's Triad Bindings. At the request of its team, Burton added more cushion to the ankle straps, cap straps, and highback, so you can charge the mountain ferociously and leave feeling like you've been at a freaking foot spa. Gel heel cushioning eats up shock on big drops, so your bones don't have to. But don't let this cushy binding give you the wrong impression. Its fiberglass-and-nylon composite baseplates transfer tons of energy, so you get plenty of response from heel to toe. *Available for U.S. Shipment Only.

Bottom Line: The Burton Triad—more cushion for the pushin'.

My favorite binding for 2008.

I have spent an entire season on these bindings at Snowbird. They are super comfortable, but still very responsive. The high back fits your boot really nicely, and the baseplate is just the right stiffness. ha The straps are luxury, you never get pressure points. You can really ride all day in these bindings and never get tired. With all the traversing you have to do at Snowbird to get to the goods, these are the bindings to have for sure.

Burton Triad is Tight

By:

What a good set of bindings....very responsive...no slosh no slack... it goes where I steer it... my only gripe is that the 4 hole replacement disc for my Stepchild board didn't have the cushion pad on it like the 3 hole Burton disc...JR

Triad are weak plastic poo.

If you like tight, quick response don't waste your time with these. I tried them on a full day of pow in Tahoe. They ruined an otherwise epic day! They are very slow and hard to move. You need to use the whole body to get response. I have been riding for 12 years now and Burton seems to always let me down. I had to adjust 4 times to even make them ridable!

In their defense they are made for all-mountain which is why there is some flex. I just think they are much more geared towards park and pipe. They are definitely comfortable as advertised.

I got them for a great deal (Under 200) and still returned them.

I'm going for some Nitro P8's or Ride SPI's sorry Burton, but I have no love for you.

Rider Driven

Burton is all about Rider feedback, they were def. listening to their riders on this binding.
Plain and Simple, the Triad binding has the CO2 Highback and the Cartel Tray. Added with comfy ankle and toe straps this binding is great. You'll be able to tackle any part of the mountain you want with confidence in these bindings.

Burton Triad Lounge!!! Please Read!!!

By:
January 4, 2008

Just purchased the new Burton Triad Lounge a few days ago and tried them out today. They sure look pretty and match perfectly with my Burton Sabbath boots and Never Summer Legacy Board. People were staring at them all day. They are extremely comfortable but the bindings have a few fatal flaws which is leading me to try and take them back or write Burton for an exchange. First, the cap strap rides up and ends up resting on the top of the foot instead of the toe where it's suppose to be. Kind of annoying when riding down the mountain and you can feel the board become loose because you are no longer securely strapped in. Second they aren't very responsive at all and are heavy... You have to really shift your weight around to get these babies to turn. Also disturbing considering that the binding on a snowboard is like a steering system on a car. If it's loose and sloppy, it's no fun to drive and can be dangerous. Lastly, after my third run down the hill I looked down to strap in at the top of the mountain and there was a big tear on the top of the binding back in the synthetic leather. This was the last straw as this kind of wear and tear should not have happened a few hours into owning them. I am scared to see what happens after a full season. Imagine buy a new car with beautiful leather seats and as you get out of it for the first time you notice that the leather started tearing. Not a pretty picture and you would probably take it right back to the dealership...
