Burton Sapphire Snowboard Boot - Women's

Burton designed the Women's Sapphire Snowboard Boot for all-mountain riders who want a comfortable, boot with skate-influenced performance to tear up the whole mountain. Articulated cuffs allow these boots' upper and lower halves to flex independently and give you a smooth, consistent fit that responds instantly without the pinch. Burton's heat-moldable liner provides a tailored fit, while the 2:1 Power Lacing System locks down your heel with minimal effort. Plush padding and a cushy EVA footbed makes the Sapphire Boot feel as comfortable as your skate shoe. And with street-inspired styles, they'll look as good, too. - Fall 2008.

Bottom Line: Skate feel on your snowboard.

Good boot but inside cushions can irritate

By:
January 7, 2009

I just bought these boots this winter and boarded with them a few times. I like the power lacing and the inner boot that velcro's up, however there are 2 pads on the inside of the inner boot that I think are supposed to hold your heel/achilles tendon. I don't have a very prominent achilles tendon and the pads end up scraping against my ankle. After a while it feels like a rug burn and can be really uncomfortable.

great boot for skinny ankles!!

By:
April 20, 2009

I would wear these ALL the time. These are my 3rd pair of boots since i have started riding and they will probably be my last. I have very skinny ankles and have never been able to find a boot that actually kept my foot in place (I would turn toe side and my heel would lift up making it very hard for me to control the responsiveness of my board). I had burton freestyle's for 5 years which I really liked but "ugraded" to DC judges which I also thought I liked until I got these. The sapphires are the most comfortable boot I have worn, they have great support, the pads keep my ankles nice and snug, and I know there are all these boots with fancy boa and crazy lacing systems but you really do get the best custom fit with regular old laces. These also have a spot for a heater pack so if you are always freezing like me and wear toe warmers, you can get an electric one so you don't have to mess with those anymore. I am so glad I bought these. Oh and I have them in coach and every one on my ski team is obsessed with them, even random people have commented how sweet they are.

Worth Every Penny

By:

I've tried out 4 pairs of boots and wore a size 7 in every pair so I was a bit surprised when the 7s in these didn't fit me. At first they felt fine but after about 45 mins my feet felt like they were falling asleep. I traded them in for a size larger, and now I am well pleased with these boots! I went snowboarding at temps in the single digits with a biting wind and my feet were warm. They were easy enough to get on and off. They didn't feel "clunky" like 3 of the 4 other pairs had. Last but not least, I could feel what was going on between my board and me.

Great boots

By:

Super cute for ladies and loving the boots so far - nice and warm. I am glad someone advised me to buy these boots to my exact shoe size ... they fit like a glove. They are however quite wide and are super snug in my ladies medium bindings. Great price.

Lovin' my fancy heated boots

By:
February 26, 2009

I have had a lot of problems with my feet and these are they best boarding boots I have ever had. I was disappointed that the heater was sold separately but it is totally worth it. They keep your feet nice and warm all day. The heat switch does occasionally move by itself but I was thinking a small piece of tape would secure it for a full day of riding. I did have to retighten the liner at least once during the day but this often happens to me because I have a narrow foot. Be sure to break them in for at least a week around the house before you go out. They are also pretty true to size.

toasty toes

By:
December 9, 2008

they are true to size... i wear a size 6 casual shoe and my toes just barely reach the front of the boot. the boot has a nice grip on the heel to keep your feet from slipping out. they are very light weight and comfortable like a skate shoe. i bought the heat packs that are compatible with the boot which are awesome and adjustible. the only thing is that the design on the boot is not as bright as it looks online
