A ridiculously soft flex gives the Burton Dominant Snowboard an unmatched buttery feel for sessioning a downtown rail or jibbing boxes in the park. This twintip board lets you nose press like never before and charge switch whenever you want. Burton used an easily maintained Lightspeed Vision base and burly 10:45 sidewalls to make sure the Dominant Snowboard hold up to the tricks you don't quite pull off. This year Burton also added Park Edges to increase durability and ensure a snag-free slide every time. *We can't control which color base you get. But we're confident you'll dig it.**DISCONTINUED**
Bottom Line: Saying this board has a skate-influence style is like saying the Atlantic is damp.
I dont hav this board. but my friend has it. I've never heard him complain. He's had it for a year now. He said his other burton boards flex started warring of. but this one hasnt. It's great for rails but he sed it's a little heavy. Otherwise hreat board.
Take your park skills to the street and shred the gnar this board has more pop then Britney Spears! The flex is insane too perfect freestyle board with only one thing I dont like about it. Vinyl Stickers are a real bitch to try to get to stick to the grip tape on top, but dont let that stop you from getting this board, with a little bit of heat from a blow dryer and some pressure you can get you stickers to stay on.
I love this board! I have only had it for a little over a week, but have gotten to ride a ton of different conditions with it. First off this board kills it in the park. Rails, boxes, plastic drainage pipes, this board is sick on any type of rail. It is maneuverable and felxy to do nose and tail presses with ease. It does great on jumps too. The directional flex provides good pop of the lip of any jump or roller. I didn't venture into the larger park at my mountain, but on 15-20 foot kickers (and under) this board stomps it. With its feel I'm sure it will be fine on bigger jumps as well. Thought this is a park board do not let the description fool you. This rides the mountain great. In the slush it was sort of hard to control, but today in the hard packed snow and ice... holy crap. This board can hold an edge just as well as any all mountain board I've ridden in 8 years of riding. It is smooth and grippy on groomers and rides every bit as well as my old all mountain board (burton bmc). It wasn't bad in the slush considering most boards aren't great in that, but it is much better on packed powder and even on ice. I have yet to ride powder with it, but my area is forecast for 12" plus tomorrow! Oh, fun fact... with the griptape topsheet you don't need an ugly stomp pad!
Overall I love this board. It looks sick, rides the mountain and park sick, and is just a great board. I have size 12 feet and on the 159 my toes hang off the board a little, but I still get no toe drag. If you're looking for a great board for cheap that will rip the park and shred the mountain then pick up a dominant. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
Jib board for sure, if you're looking for a backcountry board w/out breaking the budget look at this; http://www.dogfunk.com/dogfunk/BUR2493/Burton-Malolo-Snowboard.html
I love this board! It's very flexible and has good pop. Light weight and easy to maneuver. The Grip tape on the top is sweet you don't need a stomp pad. But it's a pain to put stickers on! That's the only downside i had with this board. I recommend this with some Burton Cartels.
