The Burton P1.1 Snowboard Binding's unique two-piece baseplate adds a new level of flex to help you butter boxes like nothing else and really feel your board react in the powder. Add super-plush straps to the equation, and you have yourself one seriously comfortable binding. Burton includes a Canted Living Hinge highback directly attached to the outer rail for increased edge-to-edge response without sacrificing the soft feel. -
Fall 2008.
Bottom Line: Bindings with a feel unlike all others.
So, I got these post season so I cant really say how they ride yet. Ill review that in the future. For now Ill just say they seem well built. Pretty light. Love the little pouch, perfect size to hold a torque driver tool. Wish it was on both bindings though. Its only on the right. Also, it kinda sucks burton only puts padding on the 3 hole burton D pattern mounts. The 4 hole std pattern mounts are just plastic. Damn you Burton. Ima post some pics to illustrate. Anyway, im very excited to rock these next season.
the rest of the reviews on here are confusing me so I decided to write one. I have the 08 ones and it was my first year with high end burton bindings. have ridden the freestyles, drake leblanc, ride rx, and thenrome arsenals. this was my first "high end" binding and I was not disappointed at all. super comfy, toe cap never came off my toes, no pressure points on heel or toe strap, and very responsive!! good mix of all mountain stability, and freestyle flex. I ride pretty hard and they held up well all season. overall best binding I have ridden yet(duh)
For your Burton P1.1 Snowboard Binding, do you have the "Speed Zone" version in stock? (i.e. http://www.sunandski.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=3427052290910&Click=282&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=3427052290910)
This is a really nice binding from Burton!! Got it in white, looks spectacular on my Burton Custom!!! Easy to adjust, very comfortable and flexible!!! This is a binding worth buying!
Note: Burton's got no love for the non-burton board riders. See how only the Burton 3 hole D pattern discs have the padding. The standard 4 hole pattern discs are just the plastic, NO padding!! Damn you Burton!! Why you gotta be like that??
I bought these bindings to go along with my Burton Custom board! The combination looks and feel great!! Very comfortable binding, flexible and easy to adjust! All in all a great binding!
I started using P1s back in 2004 and have been upgrading since. Last pair were the P1 Uninc logo splashed wingtips. I have officially decided to upgrade to the new P1.1 in white.
Throughout the last four or five years it is safe to say I have done just about everything you could with these bindings from powder days to park days. I have used Rome, Ride, and a few others. I found that nothing compares to the P1 comfort wise. These bindings have the perfect amount of cushion, flex, and they are durable as hell. In all the years the only thing that has ever happened is the capstrap on the toe had the binding lever fall off due to a loose screw. It was my fault though. Everyone should check screws before they go boarding.
The P1 has been my binding of choice. I have thought about the Cartel, triad, and Co2. If I were ever to walk away from the P1 it would be to try the C60's. Burton bindings are the only bindings I have ever used because they are the ish straight up. I never worry about a thing while I am riding and that is how it should be. The capstrap was my favorite innovation ever. I hate the over the foot straps.
The P1.1 Looks amazing. I am not some Burton only person as the only Burton products I rock are the bindings they make.
The Triad lounge IS the ugliest binding ever made by Burton... see....haha
All in all you can't go wrong with the purchase of the P1. I will be switching my old Wingtips out with the P1.1 and will write another post on how they hold up with no bull included. But the track record for this binding is an A+.
I liked riding these bindings at first, but as I continued by about the 3rd week the whole binding was breaking down and the straps are the most flimsy unsupportive things ever after a month of riding. In my opinion burton doesn't make products to last
YA not too good...bought these in a medium (i wear a size 10 boot) broke the first pair, thought it might have been a fluke cuz my boots were too big. Then got an exchange for a large (now binding was to big even on the smallest setting it was loose), ended up breaking my ankle HAHA! no good for a size 10 boot!
