Burton Driver X Snowboard Boot - Men's - 2009

I was looking for a stiff boot and these are pretty stiff. They fit good and are really comfortable. The liners come out easily so I can dry them completely and fit back in with no problem. The only thing I'm concerned about is the lacing system, while it works now, I've heard that if the lace breaks the local shop charges $45 to relace it. That would suck. I guess if it only happens once during the entire life of the boots, it wouldn't be that bad. So far, I'm stoked with these boots. I used to ride hard boots with Trenchdigger bindings and was looking for a stiff soft boot to give me similar edge control, this boot fits the bill better than any other I've tried.

If you don't know what you want, don't get these. If you have to ask yourself if the Drivers are a fit for you, they're likely not. In fact, if you are the kind of person who would love these boots, you are likely not even reading this. A common mistake is for people to just look at the pricetag and determine whether a boot is "good" or not, instead of analyzing the attributes. Don't get me wrong, these are amazing if what you want (and you need to know exactly what you want) is INSTANT response and ultra-stiffness in your boots, and it serves a certain segment. For the rest of us though, it might be better to stick with boots that have some flex at the ankle.

If you want a stiff boot that is easy to ride then you found it. This boot is very comfortable once broken in. It allows easy weight shift for fast quick turns. This is the best boot that I have ever put on my feet. I ride all over the mountain from the park to the backcountry. It does it all well.

Incredibly uncomfortable. The tongue dug into the top of my ankle. I bought a half size small and that still did not help with heel lift and movement.

This boot is super stiff but unlike other stiff boots I have had it is not uncomfortable at all. I did have to use the included ankle pads to get the liner to fit on my right foot. Now that the pads are in there the liners fit like a glove. I did have to size down a 1/2 size to get the right fit. They were tight at first but now that the liners have packed out after around 15 days they are perfect.

Super comfortable, super stiff, the best boots I've ever owned. They are worth the money, you can ride all day with these and not even feel it. And the speed lace system is awesome.

These boots are really comfortable. The quick-lace system makes it a breeze to put on and tighten up.
