Backcountry Access Tracker DTS Beacon

The Backcountry Access Tracker DTS avalanche beacon can greatly reduce the amount of time spent pinpointing, probing, and digging during an avalanche rescue. For 2005, the easiest beacon to use just got easier. In 1997, the Tracker DTS revolutionized the transceiver market by introducing digital, dual antenna technology. Good Efficient Beacon

This is a really good Beacon for a beginner Backcountry person. Very easy to understand, and if you practice finding another Beacon, you will improve you time very very fast... I own it, and i swear by it. But a think Tracker is coming out with a new model soon, so look out for that one too...

This Beacon is very easy to use. It is so straight forward and easy to use. I have practiced with it many times and hopefully I will never truly need to use it. The Tracker is the perfect introduciton device to backcountry riding.

solid beacon

this beacon is very good, easy to use reliable and pretty good range. the range isnt as good and the SOS beacons (my favourite is SOS sledbug) but i would deffinately recomend this to anyone who is new to using these. but when your using this when you put it on receive it automaticaly changes back to transmit after a couple minutes so watch out for that.

I used this same device in an avalanche certification class. Awesome product, easy to use, and easy to understand. was taught how to use in under 10 minutes, and perfectly understood how it worked. I highly recommend this Avalanche Tracker DTS Beacon. I wouldn't go out in the backcountry with any other beacon.

This Beacon Rocks

I just used this beacon on a 3-day yurt trip in Utah. It is super simple to use, which to me is of the utmost importance when dealing with a burial. No fumbling around. Luckily we didn't encounter any real avalanche burials, but we simulated a bunch of stuff and I definitely feel confident having this beacon strapped to my body.

This beacon is crazy easy to use. It is a little big compared to some others I've used. If you are just starting to venture into the backcountry this is perfect.

A few practice runs and you'll be good to go.
