Burton Custom ICS Snowboard

The Burton Custom ICS Snowboard features The Channel, a spine down the center of the board that evenly distributes energy and works with both standard (Channel-compatible binding discs sold separately) and EST bindings. Mount bindings at any stance width or angle you’d like (we don’t recommend narrow and pigeon-toed, though). Then ride your mid-flex Custom down backcountry couloirs or in the park—whatever terrain you encounter, this board can handle it.

  • The Channel focuses power through a central spine that evenly radiates energy through the board for enhanced rebound and snap
  • Infinite Ride technology means that your board feels consistent from day one through day 201
  • New Lightning Bolts (fiberglass fingers) radiate out from The Channel to quickly send input from your feet to the edge for superb response
  • The Custom packs Burton’s new sintered N2O WFO base for a ridiculously fast ride
  • Super Fly II core features a negative core profile (thinner sections between the bindings) for softer flex and torsion that excels anywhere on the mountain
  • To reduce waste, Burton used some recycled metals and plastics to create this board
  • Board colors may vary, and we have no control over which one you’ll get. But you’ll love it anyway, right? Right

Bottom Line: Rip anywhere on the mountain.

boards for jibbing are all about your preference. i would say yes. when i jib i like soft buttery boards. but like i said its all preference. i know people that rally stiff boards everywhere and vice versa.

I would agree, its definitely not to stiff to press... unless you weight like 70 lbs, then maybe. ha-ha. Its an awesome go-anywhere, do anything board! Definitely drop in on Some Softer flexing EST bindings like the Exile or Malavita to help soften your ride and max out your pressability.

Nope. It will hold up just fine. Although if you're more into rails and low speed stuff I'd go for a softer board like the Blunt, Fix or Dominat. Your buddies might show you up when it comes to presses and butters when you ride the Custom, but you'll stick it to them when you go out of bounds.

The Custom is an all mountain freestyle board: Do it all and brag about it later.

Also, this years color choice is hot. Reminds me of the 05-ish Tech Nine Boznuts. Mmmm.

I love this board. Stays stiff on the steep and deep, but still flexible enough to stomp kickers and butter around in the park. If you want a board you can use everywhere, this is your board.

Actually, the "free gift" is a pair of adapter plates that let riders run non ICS (non-burton) specific bindings on the board.

they include bases for non ics bindis but that means they are good only for burton bindis, it s basically a disk replacement, i know that some companies such as SP have binders that can be replaced with these kinds of disks i am not sure about any other brand

Really? I thought Burton included base plates for non-ICS bindings, or was that only last year's model?
