Jeremy Jones challenged Burton to not just build his signature boot to his exact specs, but to put it within reach of the average shredder and his low-balance bank account. This EST-optimized boot offers support without sacrificing the flex needed to make those ollies, grinds, and presses feel buttery smooth.
Low-profile EST midsoles bring you closer to your board for response and better board feel
Flex 2 liners with TaiPanels balances smooth flex with strategically placed panels for solid support
Flex 2 liners also feature J-bars for excellent heel hold
Flex Cuffs on the liners hug your ankles to enhance heel hold without losing the forgiveness needed for tweaking in the park
B3 gel in the midsoles along with EVA footbeds offer high-impact cushioning that won’t break down
The boot shell’s Flex Spine Backstay allows for lateral and medial flex while maintaining edge-to-edge support
Bottom Line: A pro-quality boot without the pro price tag.
i guarantee the medium flex on these JJ's you like so much will become mush after a few days out... these were absolutely THE worst boot i have ever ridden... the liner broke down so much that the heel started to rip out and the foam started to thin out so bad that i could feel the heelcup of the binding pressing against the bone of my heel. i mentioned in my dogfunk review of these boots from last season that the only reason i would rock these boots was during a street session (or maybe some sleigh riding or driveway shoveling)... the funniest part is that Burton actually had the audacity to raise the price of this boot by $30 this season when they have done nothing to improve it... absolutely no upgrades at all; it's the exact same boot from last year, just some color changes, yet they decided to make the hard working kids who this boot is targeted towards pay an additional $30, especially in this downed economy... not cool burton, not cool.
My boots died, at COC last year, so i rode these for the remainder of camp, and i was very impressed with them, they have medium flex, and are very very comfortable. The break in period was short, The construction of the boots fit my binding better then my old boots. These boots would be a great buy for any skill level.
