the ronin utility jacket is a shell. it will protect you against wind and water. if you want to stay warm, you will definitely need to layer underneath.

Without thermacore and/or primaloft it going to be like a 2-layer gore without insulation. I would run a hoodie and/or bonded fleece under it.

It will definitely keep you dry and breathes great.

This jacket is whats up. It was everything I was hoping it would be. This relaxed fit jacket will keep warm and dry in the most extreme conditions and keep you looking damn steezy. It has up to 8 pockets which will keep your gear safe and dry and a relaxed or business option hood. This is hands down the best money I have ever spent and with a life time warranty, I intend to make my 150$ last decades. It is a relaxed fit so wen you buy this jacket, buy it a size down and you wont regret it. Keep on keepin on Burton.
