Bring along the DAKINE Scout Short Gloves when searching for your next backcountry booter. These DAKINE gloves use DK Dry waterproof breathable inserts to keep your hands nice and dry as you shovel the perfect launch ramp. Thermoloft insulation and a removable fleece liner lets you adjust the Scout Gloves' warmth to match the temperatures on the mountain. The Short Scout's performance articulation helps you handle the shovel like a champ, and grabs become a piece of cake.
Bottom Line: Build big and go bigger with the DAKINE Scout Short Gloves.
I purchased these gloves for my son for Christmas. This site was quick to respond. I had to work fast to hide them before he got home from school. I was very happy with the products appearance and quality. The picture does not do them justice. I will order again from this company in the future.
These gloves are awesome. With inserts, you can't go wrong with this glove. When it is warmer outside don't use the inserts, when is colder than (well you know) wear the inserts in the glove and your hands will love ya.
Very warm and super comfy. The liners are awesome, and nose wipe and snow scraper features work damn good. WIthout the liners on they make great warm weather gloves. Kinda wish I bought a pair with actual gauntlets but I'm still very satisfied!
I wanted the best snowboarding gloves for under $50, didn't matter what brand and i ALMOST got them in these Dakine's.
They're great gloves, with the goggle & nose wipe, under-the-cuff wrist, easy maneuverability and good gripping surface... BUT they just weren't warm enough, even with the liners!
I was at Snowshoe Mtn, WV in mid-Feb with temps in the 30's during the day when i rode the most. My buddy only had Northface liners and his hands were warmer than mine with these Dakine's + liners. Great gloves on durability & utility but they just didn't keep my fingers very warm, so 3 stars. Still incredible for the price i paid tho! ($30)
Kept my hands warm even when wet from sweating them out from the inside. Short cuff is really nice too - keeps wrists dry but still easy to take on and off
I really like these gloves for many reasons. To list a few: the inserts and perfect for driving and those -20 degree days on the slopes, the short gloves don't look bulky and fit nicely inside my coat, they keep my fingers dry and super warm and give them a little wiggle room, and they look sick.
After being disappointed by previous gloves, these were a nice change. The grippy palms show no signs of ripping after the first season of using them even after grabbing sharp edges and shoveling. The only problem I have with them are the liners. If your hands are a bit sweaty they stick to the liners and pull them out every time you remove a glove. Also, if the liners are damp when it starts to get cold at night they sometimes freeze from the inside out.
