Flow Team Binding - 2007

I-Flex 3-D Powerstrap and a super-lightweight magnesium chassis make the Flow Team Binding rule in the terrain park and the backcountry. The Dynalite vented hiback on the Team provides telepathic response and surgical precision for the most demanding riders, while four locking MINIratchet buckles provide a customized fit no matter what kind of boot you ride. All-stainless hardware and cable terminals take all the punishment you can deliver, but with a shock-absorbing base pad and anatomically correct cushioning system you'll barely notice the Team Binding doing the dirty work. If you have any doubts that all this tech can fit in a featherweight package, Flow specs this binding under 900 grams…and that's damn light, son.

Bottom Line: Lighten your whip and dial in your ride with the Team Binding from Flow.

Good on paper, poor durability IRL

I honestly loved the 08 Team bindings. The ease of entry/exit was second to none, and I thought they looked great too. The one time I took the board in for wax, all the employees that knew anything about snowboard equipment gathered around and gawked at my shiny new bindings. All was well till eight runs into the second day of riding when one of the upper straps on my back foot broke in three pieces. I would have suspected it was me, but the binding broke on a green catwalk…So it’s not like I was beating on the bindings, or landing 50 foot cliff drops or anything. Once the strap broke, the second day of boarding quickly came to an end. I talked with a couple local board shops and they all said that straps on the Flow Teams seem to break a lot.

08 Flow Team Bindings

By:

The 08 Teams are easily as light as most of the top end bindings on the market (which was their major drawback in the past), and the ease of entry/exit is just the icing on the cake. I've found that even though I'd usually crank down traditional strap-in bindings, the Flows transfer all movement to the board without having to have them cranked down...Which is much more comfortable for my feet.

Even though they are a bit costly, this is probably the last pair of bindings you'll ever need to buy.

***Don't forget to check ALL of the screws before every riding session.***

4th set of Flow Teams, I won't ride any others!

I have 4 sets of Team Flow bindings. 2 black carbon fiber earlier models, 1 set '07 Silver/White and 1 set of these '08 in Red/White. The newer models have a more complex and more easily damaged latch system but are a lot easier to adjust. Once adjusted no further messing about needed, just step in, latch the heel latch and ride. I rode my Team Flows 58 days this season (07-08) at Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, AK and wore out a Lib Skate Banana board with them. The bindings are good for many more seasons and are now mounted on a Lib Cygnus X1 waiting for next season. Also, I lost a bolt once and Flow was great about sending the repair parts at no charge, even though I was out of warranty.

The advice of another reviewer applies to these and ALL bindings. Check all the screws before you ride.
