The Gnu Carbon Credit BTX Series Snowboard features Banana Technology and Magne-Traction, which means this board feels loose and catch-free, and it presses rails and jibs like a champ. When you take the twin-shaped Gnu Carbon Credit to the slopes, the Banana rocker ensures this board floats powder effortlessly and charges through chunky snow without folding.
Banana Technology (rocker) lets you stomp your board flat for tip-to-tail edge contact and enhanced control
Magne-Traction serrated edges give you unreal control and edge-hold, even on icy terrain
UHMW double-sintered sidewalls won’t succumb to jibbing abuse
GNU made the core from sustainable wood for less environmental impact
Bases come in assorted colors—we can’t guarantee what color you’ll get, but we’re sure you’ll be stoked
Bottom Line: Progress from rookie to pro on this rocker board.
I'm 6'2", but I've been riding a 156cm board for 3 years and am looking for a better board, I don't do park, I'm more all mountain, My boot size is either a 12 or 13, can't remember, would my bindings even fit on this board?
your bindings will probably fit the board, but your going to have toe drag if you arent riding a wide board, usually people with boot sizes of 12 and up should ride a wide board
I would go for a wide board for your boot size. You dont want to use risers as you will lose the close to board feel. Nothing worse than catching toes right in front of the honies.
Got this board as a replacement when my 2008 chb mtx snapped. Gnu has a great replacement warranty and replaced it even when i had used it an entire season. The chb mtx was a great board and i cant wait to test out this one
102? that is super light, I would roam around the 140's to be have more fun, it's a drag when you're lugging to much wood around(well for some it's good) Good luck
Is there a size limit on the bindings that can fit on this board? I wear size 11-12 boots and I want to make sure that the bindings wont be too big for the waist of the board. Any suggestion on which bindings go well with this?
There is a not a size limit per-say but the waist width on the 156 is 252 millimeters or 9.9 inches. Use that to measure your bindings. Most people 11+ will go to a wide board.
This board would be perfect for you, its got a medium flex so it would be good for both freestyle n all mountain, and because its got btx it will float amazingin powder, i rode last years model and i loved it, solid board, and you cant go wrong with gnu, they make the best boards out there.
Can somebody tell me which board would be the best choice for a jib rocker/reverse camber board thats fairly easy to press but doesnt let down on jumps. Im looking at the k2 parkstar, the gnu carbon credit and the nitro sub zero
The skate banana is a much softer board than the carbon credit, more jib specific,if you were doing more all mountain/jumps id go with the CC but if all you do is ride park/rails/etc id go with the banana, other than the flex they are pretty much the same they both have btx and mtx.
I had this board when it was the CHB MTX, and its a pretty mellow board. Pretty fun, but slower because of the base and the flex is about an average flex, probably softer now that it has rocker. Sorry I can't help much more
