K2 Parkstar Snowboard

K2 went ahead and took the liberty of making your life way cooler by creating the Parkstar. K2 designers took the O.G. Darkstar and added K2’s specialized Jib Rocker camber, and turned it into a spinning butter machine. Take this board anywhere on the mountain to experience the bliss of the buttery, twin tip flavors but stay in the park or on the streets where you really belong to bask in its glory. K2 keeps it real with a snappy W2 Wood Core made from three different species of renewable wood. The Parkstar continues the Kumbaya with its super smooth 4000 sintered base covered in specially designed, Purl Biodegradable Wax.

  • We have no control over which color base you receive. It's up to Lady Luck—good thing she’s a benevolent wench.

Bottom Line: Keep your stance and Zen centered with the Parkstar for seasons of endless Gnarnia.

I dont know which board to get. Im torn between the jibstick and parkstar. Im not in the park all day but I do hit it alot. Im not looking for a noodle. Maybe medium flex. Also never ridden a rocker board. Need some help...

The Parkstar's rocker is more like a "auto press higher" function. Essentially the rocker is located on tip and tail and the board is flat between your bindings. This makes the board ride like a flatline or zero-camber board rather than with the loose trucks skateboard like feel the skate banana and other boards with rocker between your feet have.

The Parkstar is derived from the Darkstar which has been a medium flexed all mountain freestyle destroyer for years. Only difference is the park rocker which makes it more rail friendly.

In short: The Parkstar is not a noodle. It will work great for slopes and park alike, but with a rail and butter oriented approach.

Also, the Sintered 4000 base is ridiculously nice: Near bulletproof and easy maintenance. I've ridden mine though rocks and gravel without having to resort to p-tex.

Also base it off of the stuff you will be hitting mainly. Personally, I would go with a 159 if you are going to hit all mountain or a 155-157 if you spend most your time in the park. I am 6'5" and just got the 159. Its a sick board so don't hold back

im 6'1 my jib board is 153, park board is a 155 and my free ride is a 156....dont base it on height though base it on weight and like griffin said skill level...

It depends on your skill level... I'm 6'2 and I can ride anything between a 155-170. But my park board is a 159, cause it's big enough I'm not scared of a little pow pow and small enough for me to throw sweet stuff with. So, I would say look in the 155-160 range, and you'll be safe (depending on your weight too... aka more weight = bigger board).

perfect board

This board is so sick. I got it with intentions for just using it in the park but it performs all over the mountain. I would highly recomend this board for some one serious about performance in the park. I switched to this board from the banana and the parkstar is much more stable on jumps. It could be a bit softer but I like the snappyness it has for ollies. Overall sick board

dude get on the k2 parkstar, ride dh2, gnu park pickle, salomon arnie 5000 or probablt the best rome posteria 1985.
if you wanna board that is goona jump and jib just make sure its got rocka cause you'll want a stiffer board to jump so if it's got rocka you'll still be able to press the shit outta that bad boy hope that helps.......

Yeah they will fit but most size 11 and up go for the wide ones. You will be a lot more likely to hit toes.

Great board!!!

Bought this board brand new this yr and gotta say it is unreal! so much fun for the whole mountain, and it butters like a dream. its weak side is carving at high speeds, but thats not what its made for so its expected. through the park it slays everything! The reverse camber feels great aswell, would never go back to normal camber boards. Totally reccomend this deck!

Can somebody tell me which board would be the best choice for a jib rocker/reverse camber board thats fairly easy to press but doesnt let down on jumps. Im looking at the k2 parkstar, the gnu carbon credit and the sub zero

the sub zero is very soft, depending on the size of the jump and your skill it should handle them decent but but the k2 or gnu will handle them better, and the k2 should be a bit softer than the gnu

A shopkeeper recommended the Sub Zero for pure park and urban riding. It's a bit softer than the Parkstar but basically I it think it's all down to personal taste.

Gnu, Nitro and K2 all make excellent boards, the magnet traction and bana tech on the Gnu has however gotten tons of praise. Choose the one you think looks the best; a good looking board gives you confidence which is far superior to the tech difference of the three.

I personally would go with the K2 since I have a history with them or the Gnu because of the magnet traction.

In short: A rocker/Revered Camber.

The Parkstar is a softer more park oriented board with a rocker design.

What would the flex be compared to a WWW rocker, jibpan rocker

What would the flex be compared to a WWW rocker, jibpan rocker or ride Machete? I'm looking for a buttery, soft board for messing around in the park. I have a Ride society for bigger faster stuff.

nahh its pretty close to butteryness with the www and yeah its definetly softer than the jibpan but the jibpans a great board. theyre all great boards i rode them at camp the only reason i chose the parkstar over the other two are because i found it cheaper

Whats the waist width of the 159 K2 Parkstar? Is this quite a flexable board also?

the ww on the 59 is 25.1cm. and its based of the darkstar which is a mid flexing board. it will feel slightly softer than that due to the jib rocker. it will definitely be soft enough for jibbing but will have enough rigidness for everything else.
