The Lib Tech Skate Banana BTX Assorted Bananas Snowboard packs all the same Magne-Traction (skateboard-like ride) and Banana Technology goodness (loose and forgiving) as the original, but it leaves the yellow ‘nana coler scheme to the monkeys. The rocker banana between your feet gives you a catch-free ride, while the stiff nose and tail add plenty of pop for your jibs and rails. The correct sandwich integration reduces swing weight, and the built-in rocker curve makes this board float through the pow like a fat kid in the Dead Sea.
Hey guys im fairly certain that im going to go with the banana skate and union force bindings for this season. Im just trying to figure out if I want to go with the 156 or 152. I am 5'7 150lbs. I do enjoy the park and all that fun stuff but I usually spend my time all over the mountain. any advice is appreciated.
if you spend most of your time outside the park, i would go with the 156. i think you will appreciate the added length/stability in powder, on groomers, etc. at 150 lbs, you should be able to handle it. i am also assuming you are at least an intermediate rider.
depending on the exact foot print of your boot, you could get away with that waist width, especially if you ride with a ducked stance, but depending on your weight, you might want the 51. A little extra width translates into more stability: on rails, in powder, landings...etc...
I'd say if your of average weight for your height, you can rock the 48 and be ok.
Ive had 148 Morrow for 3 seasons, I love the lib techs..is there a female version? and will they be making shorter versions? I know there ment to be ridden shorter and a 148 is the size I ride now. Should I wait for shorter?
Well it really doesn't matter because they have a 148 narrow version already available. When they mean a shorter board, they mean that there is more edge contact so you can ride a shorter board. If you ride a 148 it will be better than the 148 you have now because there is more edge contact present. And i do not believe that they will make a shorter board sorry :(
Okay, here is the deal, you pick this option you have an equal chance of acquirring any one of these, your chance of getting black is equal to your chance of getting pink/yellow, blue/yellow, red/yellow/ blue/orange, it all depends on your luck. Personally- i think that all these are sweeter than the original.
does the 'narrow' really make a difference? I currently have a banana, but I want to go smaller. Am I going to be able to tell the difference between a 152 regular and a 148 narrow??
narrow is meaning it has a more narrow width.... if your foot is small get a narrow but... if u are probably 8.5-11 stick with regular... the sizes are really just your pick smaller boards are easier for your freestyle but if u want a good board for everything id go with a nice fit instead of smaller
its a fairly flexible board..i have the 156 and its pretty flexible, to compare it to other boards i would say its somewhere close to the 2010 K2 Parkstar in flexibililty.
It depends on the length. The shorter, the less flex, but the range is 4-6 / 10. The 148 Narrow board is pretty stiff, and the 159 Wide is a bit more flexible. Check out the lib site, They have the specs for all their boards. Here is the banana page.http://www.lib-tech.com/snow/snowboards/skate-banana/
