Lib Technologies Skunk Ape BTX Snowboard - Wide

The Lib Tech Skunk Ape BTX Snowboard puts Magne-Traction and some Banana between your gargantuan kickers. By using reverse-camber Banana Rocker Technology in the middle and a flat profile from the bindings to the tip and tail, Lib Tech creates an absolutely filthy ride for all things freestyle—from hits to rails to urban. And don't forget about that Magne-Traction, which transforms crappy snow into powder.

  • Magne-Traction edges turns ice into powder
  • Banana Technology rocker between the bindings for surfy ride and lots of pop
  • H-POP Core for increased energy transfer and power
  • Double sintered UHMW sidewalls and Power Transfer internal sidewalls add durability
  • TNT Base rides super fast
  • True twin shape for switch versatility

Bottom Line: You know what they say about riders with a big Banana, don't you?

I heard this board was your "quiver killer," making it decent for the backcountry to the groomers to the park. Every time I see a description, though, it is described as a "freestyle" board. I don't plan on doing many rails or jibs, but I expect to be able to land a 10-foot drop with this. Or am I asking for a broken board/leg/skull and maybe should stick to my DC HKD?

Hey bro! I had a skunk ape from 2007/2008. I rode it a lot in the park especially on boxes because it was very smooth and extremely stable for a freestyle board. Don't get me wrong, it has a lot of pop but I think you'll be just fine hittin' 10 foot kickers. I wouldn't go bigger than that though.....then you'll feel some pain! LOL;-) Board safe homie!

At what shoe size should I be utilizing a wide board? I had a LibTech years ago but had to sell it and now I can't remember if it was a wide or not. I wear size 13-14 shoes. I'm guessing I want to go wide.

11 plus usually go wide. You want a wide board for sure or you will be dragging toe like a ballet dancer.
