I'm very impressed with these boots. They've got a good sized toe box to help eliminate cold toes from poor blood flow. The 'heal anchor' really does the trick and keeps your foot tucked in all day. The speed lace system with upper and lower laces is a massive improvement, however storing the handles is a bit of a pain. They're supposed to clip on the side or tongue but they fall off at every given opportunity. Burton's similar system but with little pockets to store the handles works much better. There's also a lot of spare lace to tuck away or wrap around your leg. These 2 bad points are only minor and won't affect the boots performance or your riding. Overall these are a very comfortable pair of boots with a good lacing system and good looks.

Very nice boots, the profile is a little bigger than most but the lacing system is very cool. Very solid boots, nice response and feel from them. I just tried them out and I do like the boots but the laces are starting to fray. Maybe it's because I like my boots and liners tight but the laces should not fray after one day on the slopes.

These boots rock! i was a little nervous after my first day because they hurt a bit but all boots need to get broken into. These boots only took 2 times to do so. By the 3rd time riding I had no soreness at all. F'in amazing boots. The lock in metal mechanism was hard on the fingers at first but they are starting to loosen up so its not killing my hands as much. But still way better than regular laces and better even tightness distribution then Boa's. One thing tho about Northwaves, they are not made for fat or wide feet. But my feet aren't wide so these are awesome!

Really responsive light comfortable boot. The SL2 lacing system really locks your heel into the boot. It also features a wider toe box than some of the other boots. Good times!
