Never Summer Ransom Longboard

The Never Summer Ransom Longboard isn't your average cruiser. This short, responsive board lets you rip tight hillside streets with a level of control that'll leave your friends eating dust. The secret is Never Summer's fiberglass- and carbon-reinforced wood deck. Not only does the Random provide quick handling characteristics that other longboards can't match, it's also surprisingly stable at high speeds.

Bottom Line: See just how responsive a longboard can feel when you saddle up the Never Summer Ransom.

Killer board

37 inches. It almost doesn't feel like a longboard. The smaller size and up-front shape help it to be really responsive, and the 72mm 78a wheels provide great traction (but aren't real easy to slide). But get this thing on a hill and it cruises! (and the stock Paris 180mm trucks are nice). If you want a board that handles really well yet also does fairly well at speed, this would be hard to beat.

Pretty dang sick

By:

Today i skate shop brought a bunch of boards out and let us demo them all. I rode basicaly every NS board and a bunch of sector 9's. Really the sickest boards and nicest set ups ever. I was suprised when i tried all of the different boards (about 20), and found that hands down my favorite was a little super simple board. It turns so well and the board shape does so well. It also does suprisingly well going fast, considering it is so short. Crazy good turns, to a lot to boardslide. great traction. Probably the sickest board i have ever ridden.
