Although it is elastic as mentioned so it gets bigger (to slide on and off your wrist) when all the links are together and it is at its smallest (as shown in the picture) I measured it at just a little under 8.5 inches.

it is an elastic band so it grows.... from experience nixon watches are usually a little big. I couldn't find any specs on the nixon site other than the size of the watch face.

No, not really. Shipping weight is 0.79 lbs. that includes the box and stand it comes with. This thing is most likely around the 1/2 lb. range, probably less even.
