Planet Earth Arctic Jacket - Men's - 2005

Planet Earth's Arctic Jacket for Men is warm enough for snowboarding in Antarctica but you'll probably want to stay more local. The Arctic has a waterproof breathable two-ply shell that's stuffed with synthetic insulation for the coldest mornings. If the sun comes out and softens the snow, just unzip the mesh-lined vents to regulate your body temperature. The Arctic Jacket is loaded with extras like a goggle pocket, goggle squeegee, and goggle cloth. There are pockets for all your gear including an iPod, so you can ride to your own soundtrack.

Bottom Line: When it's too cold for snowboarding, you'll snowboard anyway.

This jacket is off the hook! When it's cold it keeps you warm, but man when it's a warm day, if you're not moving you start burning up, I had this jacket in Tahoe last weekend with just a shirt under it. I was sweating crazy, once you started moving the vents cooled me off, but standing in the lift line was crazy! Overall great piece, plenty of steeze!

This jacket is great. It’s a little heavier than other jackets, but it makes up for it by being the warmest jacket in the world. I think if I ever had to go dog sledding, I'd use this jacket, but I'd rather just snowboard in it. It’s also pretty sexy looking.

The Arctic Jacket is dialed for riding on most days. If it's snowing really hard, it's not waterproof enough to keep you dry, and if it's sunny and mild you'll sweat to death. The jacket is pretty heavy which is what you'd expect from an insulated jacket made for riding the resort. I wear a size medium in most Planet Earth and Volcom shirts, but a large in most jackets. I got this in a medium and it fits perfectly. The arm length is good and the wrist gaiters are the ideal length even though I'm 6'2" and have really long arms. The pitzips are dialed—you just wear a base layer under the jacket and when you start getting warm you open them up and cool off immediately, pit zips don't work that well if you’re layering clothes instead or wearing an insulated jacket.
