for the guy below me...i dont think u understand..this is an impact clothing...as in- it absorbs your fall...regardless of whether u can touch your fingers through it, it still sucks up the impact. there's a difference between constantly pushing it with your own force but one quick impact is gonna be a whole lot different..was going on a rail with these and the rail was plastic on the top and wasn't covered in snow so..it was either fall or fall...and the really saved my but when i took a harsh crack on the ass...but yes they do help more than u think

These are a joke. I bought them when I was learning snowboarding and they don't help one bit. The ONLY thing they do is keep your butt warm when sitting on the snow. If you ever see them in person then squeeze the foam, its so soft you can easily touch your fingers together. Now imagine how that's supposed to help when you fall, even from a standstill. IT DOESN'T!!

These things suck so bad anybody who likes them has never taken a hard fall! I got them for Christmas, used them for a season, and gave them away the first chance I got.
The material is comfy but it's hard to make a useful protective device that also hides under a layer of clothing. There's a reason that helmets are big and bulky, they are made to be effective. These shorts are made simply to look cool and ease your mom's worrysom thoughts.
Save your money and try not to fall on your tail bone cause thats the only reason you are contemplaiting this purchase. THESE SHORTS DONT WORK
