Pro-tec IPS Hip Pads - Women's

Anyone who has learned to snowboard knows it can be a pain in the ass, literally. That's why Pro-tec makes the IPS Women's Hip Pads. The foam pads in this protective short take the brunt of hard falls, so you don't have to. These slim, protective shorts are barely noticeable under your riding pants, and the IPS Hip Pad's stretchy fabric breathes and feels good against your skin.

Bottom Line: The Pro-tec IPS Hip Pads make wiping out less painful.

get the job done.

what i was looking for- they fit true to size, however were loose on the leg. def. really bulky padding, but get the job done, esp on ice.

Protect your behind!!

This hip guard is awesome. They're comfortable and keeps your butt warm when its super cold out and yet, in the spring its cool cause its breathable. I bought them last season and i don't remember a time when my butt was hurting after a day of riding. This season I'm going to hit those jibs at bear again, RECKLESSLY, cause I know i can rely on my hip guard. Try them out and stop the acting tough CRAP! No one will know your wearing them anyway! ;)

Safe, but bulky

By:

I bought these pads for snowboarding. After trying them on under my snow pants, I decided not to keep them. They made me feel and look REALLY bulky. The padding seems very sturdy, and I am sure they make for some safer landings. But, I was looking for something with tailbone protection, not the thigh/hip padding too.

Didn't fit quite right

I was really hoping that these would work out for me, but they just didn't fit the way I wanted them to. The waist was pretty tight and not very comfortable. Had to send this one back.

Has lots of padding...but really big

By:

These definitely have a lot more padding than other brands out there and they feel a lot more secure. However, they had a little TOO much padding for me. I could barely even get my snowboard pants up above my thighs (and they are normally not that tight). I would say that they add about 2 inches to your sides and butt...so if you can get your pants on then they are going to be really snug.

Ouch!

This pants fit me great except for the supertight elastic band at the top which managed to actually cut the skin on top of my hips from all the pinching it was doing. Also, in the two hours that I wore them I managed to take a fall on some ice and the padding that was there did nothing for me at all.
