Red Impact Wrist Guard - 2008

Avoid snowboarding's most common injury with RED Impact Wrist Guards. With all the high-flying, out of bounds action in snowboarding you may be surprised to learn that most accidents occur low to the ground at slow speeds. The bunny slopes, cat tracks, and groomed runs are an easy place to catch an edge and get thrown down. Catching yourself puts your wrists at risk. The RED Impact Wrist protectors are low profile to fit under gloves or mitts, they diffuse shock when hitting the ground and support the wrist during a fall.

Bottom Line: Reduce your impact.

not bad

well first of all, i ordered these wristguards & got something slightly different.they didn't have the cirular piece over the knuckles and upper strap was a little different. looked better. not very good for small hands. bit of a design flaw i suppose.the velcro was in the wrong place for me.(would work fine for someone with bigger hands.)
very comfortable though. there was a high range of movement but they were really hard to get my gloves over.(even though my mittens are normally a little too big.)i had to have my friend pull my gloves on for me!

Well, the wrist guards are comfortable and low profile; easy to wear inside of gloves. However, they don't seem to offer as much protection as other brands of wrist guards. So if you want comfort and moderate protection these wrist guards should work well for you. On the other hand if you take a lot of spills and need maximum protection, I would look at a different brand of wrist guard.

Great protection AND comfort

I've tried different types of wrist guards before, all of which were advertised as 'under the glove' versions, and none were as comfortable as Impact. I wouldn't even use other brands, because of the discomfort and limited range of movement. Impacts are by far the most comfortable. I even forget I'm wearing them. They also provide great protection. I've taken some hard spills with no harm to my wrists.

Broken wrists are the most common snowboarding injury. Do yourself a favor and get a pair of Impact wrist guards.
